The only expectation with underworld given the league make up is to finish above the haflings. Job done, happy with an entirely average underworld season. Perhaps we need a football analogy to explain: it's a bit like Wolves. If Wolves and Halesowen by some miracle found themselves in the Premier League, the only expectation on Wolves would be to finish above Halesowen, not to win the league because in some forgotten bygone black and white era they once won a match against somebody good who was having an off-day.

Oh yes. One tends to lose track of these things.

Aw, I'm quite sorry now, Moose, and I hope you have a more successfully and less disheartened-by-people's-mean/silly-predictions season in Season 8. You have been a fun opponent, happy to roll the dice in unlikely situations and I don't remember ever hearing you moan about them either.

Oh don't worry la I laphed when I saw that comment. Just thought a new viewpoint might help the debate. Also I was thinking maybe at some point all the ex champions need should have like an alstars cup tournoment. Those teams that win the regular league retire from regular league but every three or four seasons the most experienced teams can have a cup to decide who is the best, rav seem s friendly with other leages from the podcast, he could invite other leages champions to play . It would mean the regular league does not have one or two op teams but ches with these teams can still use them every so often in a challanging and uncertain match.

I don't think the Wanderers will be back for a bit. This season looked a reasonable one for them as there wasn't much in the way of brand new teams (Undead & Halflings only, I think) and I did want another try at winning the league with them, after last time.

Barring injuries in the cup they will have an insane TV... I think it was under 2000 at the start of the season and over 2300... it'll be a while (if ever) until there is a league with similar values.

It has been suggested previously that we have an all-star competition sometime though, whether that's just RT teams or teams from other leagues I don't know. We don't really have enough candidates yet... The Wanderers, Saur'd of Justice & Pinewood Carrions are the ones that spring to mind. Maybe this time next year?

It's good to have you here Moose & I hope things go for you a bit more in the cup/next season.

My season awards from my POV...

Game of the season: 13th Doomwheel 2 - 1 Everglade Wanderers. A fun tactical first half, and a crazy scoreless second half that beggared belief as 3 times the ball was fumbled at the touchdown line. It was great entertainment as nuffle screwed us both over :p

Player of the season: This season has seen Gertrude become the top casualty-causer in the entire RT BBL, very impressive. It's close between him/her and the Everglade Wanderer's apothecary, who has brought 3 players back from the dead this season (all wardancers?!).

Unluckiest coach of the season: Either moose with his internet problems, or id3 with his dying/retiring players problem.

I suppose.
I've pretty much a complete disinterest in playing the lizards again, but if everyone's desperate to play a champion of champions thing at some point, I'll bring them out so they can lose to the Wanderers in the first round :-)

It's been put back a week I think Moose; not everyone can make it, think that got posted in the the 'Mid-season 7 Friendlies' thread; blame the Commish.

People are friendly-ing tonight Moose; good chance to try out another team or just get in some practice

Shush you, it's that kind of disrespect that doesn't get you re-seeded so that you don't have to face the Wood Elves until the final, rather than embarrassingly getting knocked out in the first round by the lowest seed...

Gerty and the lads/lasses will happily show your Wolves great amounts of respect if you'd be so kind as to re-seed the teams.

PilrOrc hopes to show those filthy elves how to REALLY play the majestic game in his last run out before retirement in the MLS (Murder League Slaughter - a league comprised of snotlings, halflings, the occasional goblin).

PirlOrc should have a chat with Percy, who seems to have figured out what the majestic is game is, in fact, all about.

in the first round by the lowest seed

I'm on an upwards curve as a coach! I've been seeded 9th, 9th and now 8th. Aint no stopping me now :D
