Catchy.

Then we should finish just in time for me to swap being a commissioner for being a Dad.

Alright, well I'll be around on Sunday for a friendly then. Feel free to book a match against me or we can just figure it out on the day.

First Half

The game kicked off after I pocketed a wizard and a babe. I kicked short to the right and perfect defensed my way out of trouble on the line. Feebles obligingly caged up just in their half of the pitch. THe wizard, being an excitable sort and already standing to attention due to spotting Id's Flesh Golems, fired off early taking out the cage and injuring a wight.

The Elves then did their thing of running in and getting the ball including injuring a ghoul. An attempt to secure the ball by passing it back failed and the ball was on the ground in the middle of the Elf formation. Feebles charged in and a Flesh Golem ended up with the ball. It is not easy and I rolled a hell of a lot of block dice against him before he finally went down. The ball scatteresd to an elf and I scarpered off down the pitch. Another smaller scrum formed in Feebles' half but I elfed my way out of it and scored in turn 6.

1-0 to the Spiders

The second drive started with another short kick. Id didn't cage properly this time though, and was badly let down by a Werewolf dodging himself unconscious. I leapt over the half cage and then blitzed the ball carrier. The ball popped loose and I was able to score with a catcher in turn 8.

2-0 to the Spiders

Second Half

The Spiders received and held the ball deep whilst running the clock down. Feebles got their boots into my players gettign a catcher off the pitch with a gang foul. I eventually scored on turn 14 in a more risky than ideal 2 GFI run because Elves can't pass.

3-0 to the Spiders

This left 2 turns for the Feebles to score. They collected the deep kick and moved it into a cage although the Werewolf with the ball tripped as he arrived. The Elves all backed right off to avoid a kicking safe in the knowledge that with one turn left the Necro's couldn't score. Of course they actually had two turns left and were easily able to walk in a consolation touchdown in the final moments.

3-1 final score.

A fun game and probably full of mistakes on both sides but I was mostly aided by the Feebles being down players almost all of the game.

Good write up Rav, thanks.

I definitely made some mistakes, but really it was over by turn three for me I think, if not before. Had a chance when the Flesh Golem got the ball but couldn't get him out, and you defended against him well.

So in the end I consoled myself by hitting and stamping on every Elf I could reach.

Ha, yeah, your pass and catch rolls were awful.

Looks like we'll be sharing most of the passing awards between us. Shrek (The Original) looks assured of most yards gained by passing, though that includes thrown snotlings and the long-range inaccurate pass from my last game. Hardly the most cultured of throwers but it all counts.

I got a grand total of 3 hours sleep last night so I'm not going to be playing tonight, sorry. Shall we just play on Sunday?

Oh I am. I am considering taking Wood Elves next season so I can still have some expectation of winning even though I've only had two minutes of sleep and a handful of cold gravel to eat all week.

You could always end up with a freakishly good sleeper like mine. She almost did 11 hours straight on Friday night. She's been doing at least 7 on a consistent basis since 2 months old.

Well perhaps, but ultimately you're all winners. I wouldn't have done nearly as much BBDB development since she was born if she didn't sleep so well. And it's nothing we've had any particular control over.

To balance it out a bit, she sobbed her little heart out for 2 whole hours last night, we thought she was going to throw up with the massive sustained effort in crying. She did make milk come out of her nose though. Then she slept for 10 hours, which didn't make much sense as she had missed her last feed of the day due to crying. Pretty sure she's teething, if her brother is a good measure (and apparently these things are genetic) we should see the first tooth in the next few weeks.
