I thought today was a rest day?
Ah so DST's effects on the world are finally over. Thank god.

Today was going to be finals day, but some people couldn't make it and we weren't sure if all matches would be caught-up-with by now.
Rav vs. Moose is the only non-finals-day game to be played so they were trying to play it today.

G means it was MEANT to be final day of the season, but then we all agreed it'd be more exciting to play all the last games together, so we put the final day back a week (to next week) to give plenty of time for catch up games and so everyone could eat chocolate and celebrate zombie Jesus. Some hard-core folk played friendlies, but I'm all fairness you were correct in thinking we we having a rest week.
Your gobbos probably needed it anyway to get over the news they're playing again next season...

Yes I think we are all basically saying the same thing.
Next Sunday 4th April is when all teams will be playing their final match. That's the plan, anyway.

That should be fine. I'll let you know if there's a problem in the morning. Full disclosure, I went to bed at 8:30 instead of playing and it was awesome!

MarS Spiders vs Fistfull of Boomstick
Drive 1
The Deadites lined up ready to receive the ball whilst the Bowies opted to lean to the right, which as anyone who's seen Labyrinth can tell you is the natural preference of a Bowie.
The ball went short and the game began. Moose started with a multiple block in the line causing an Ag bust and a KO, a somewhat disheartening start and representative of the drive. The Undead caged up and ploughed slowly up the pitch, taking out Elves on every turn. The Bowies risked a leap and block on the ball carrier but sadly used a reroll on the leap and skulled out on the 1d block.
On turn 6 it was simple for the Undead to stroll in the touchdown.
1-0 to the Boomstick
Moose should probably have stopped and beaten up the Elves for a couple more turns because with reserves and returning KOs there were 9 or 10 Elves on the pitch. The ball was gathered easily and a running channel formed on the left flank. I also sent a Catcher out right as an alternative scoring threat which split the defence. In the end the right was secure and on turn 8 the ball was sent down for an equaliser.
1-1 at half time.
More later...

Re: RT BBL Season 8
A much belated report on the bottom-of-the-table clash between Nermal and the Punch Dummies.
In short - Abom's luck was, at times, horrible. Though he does have the honour of being the first to get rid of one of the Underworld's rats all season! (Everyone else was too busy scoring to do physical damage, presumably.)
Kick-off and, if I remember correctly, the ball missed the goblin half. The ball was given to an ogre on the front line, a move that was rather unexpected. By both sides. Things did not bode well for the goblins. There was the customary amount of friendly pushing for a period, and the troll rumbled into the Nermal's half. Eventually he got tripped, and the Nermal picked up. The rats quickly moved the ball left; the troll got up and tried to wing the ball carrier with a goblin, but fumbled the throw. The Nermal scored.
There were a few turns before half time, but they weren't particularly memorable. What was important was that Abom hadn't used the secret weapons in the frist drive. With bribes or something they made it to the second drive, and even into the second half. This left the chainsaw on the pitch. The Nermal spent much of the second half trying to score. The ball somehow ended up with the warpstone troll, who did a lot of blitzing to try and get to the line but could never quite get clear. Eventually he got knocked over and the scoring threat fizzled out. BUT MEANWHILE the chainsaw wreaked a terrible wrath on one of the rats, wot woz brutalized. Permanently.
Abom's luck wasn't in when he needed it. The secret weapons were amusing in the second half; however the troll ball carrying, the injuries to goblins, the uselessness of the second troll (a troll was KO'd in the first half, a troll got surfed in the second!) and general not-good-when-needed dice really didn't help him out.
The race for last place is wide open with one to play.

Spiders vs Boomstick
2nd half
The Bowies received and I decided to play an elfy stalling game the kick went deep and the elf throwers decided to hang back with the ball whilst the rest of the team pushed forwards. Moose defended his left so I passed the ball through the right and stalled on the line for another turn or two before scoring.

Re: RT BBL Season 8
Hang on, I've gone wonky. After I scored in the first half there was another turn or two to play. This time the Undead caged partially but I was able to leap an assist over the cage and then hit the ball carrier with a 2d block, bounce the ball loose and scarper.
2-1 at half time.
Then I stalled in the second half and the undead didn't have time to score back.
3-1 full time and my memory is broken!

Did either of you upload the game to BBDB? We should all be at 8 games played now, shouldn't we?
