The Cheeseosophers vs The Iceweb Podcasters
I got all the inducement money so I bought Zara the Slayer, a wizzzard, a wandering apothecary, a bribe and a babe.
La won the toss and elected to kick. Zara started by injuring a Thrall with a stab. I built a cage on my left and the Vamps tried to hypno and dodge into the cage. Which failed. So I cleared space in the centre and moved into it. Zara stunned a thrall by stabbing. The Vamps tried to hypno and dodge into the cage. Which failed. I ran up the pitch hoping to stall. The Vamps chased back, blitzed the ball carrier and ran out of time so the client decided to push him over the line.
1-0 to the Podcasters
I kicked to the right and the Vampires collected the ball easily. The ran it across to the left and pushed a vampire through to receive a pass. I managed to intercept this though and did my best to run away. I passed it to a berserker who ran up the pitch but not far enough to get out of range. He got blitzed to death which I apothed to MNG. The Vamps had the ball again.
I did some damage, killing a thrall, surfing another one to an injury and Zara kept stabbing. The Vampires ran the ball up an threw it to the waiting receiver who caught it in two tacklezones and ran in to score.
1-1
In the moments before half time I decided to batter the Thralls rather than try any 1TTD shenanigans. I injured 2 and KOd 1.
Half Time
The Vampires were out of reserves now and the Norse were too. I was kicking so I figured the Vampires stood a good chance. That went out of the window when a Blitz came up. I was able to get under the ball and surround it. The Vampires did a good job of attacking the cage but Aristotle tried to dodge in, failed and injured himself.
I moved the ball to the middle of the pitch and used my wizard to try and thin the immediate threats. One thrall gently fell over. This time the Vampires got into the cage but couldn't attacke the ball yet. I was able to remove one threat with frenzy but I had to dodge and failed. The Vampires scooped up the ball but failed a GFItrying to get it safe.
I retrieved the ball once more and removed another Vamp from the pitch with a stab. Again a Vampire and Thrall got into my cage. I tried to frenzy push the ball carrier out but injured the Vampire instead. There were now 3 thrall left on the pitch so I fouled them until turn 16 when I scored the winner.
2-1 to the Podcasters.
Dice were definitely in my favour and even then the first half was very tight and fun. In the second the weight of numbers made it as easy as possible and even so it wasn't a sure thing until the last 2-3 turns.
To quote BBDB: The Cheeseosophers - end of turn type Failed dodge happened 5 times.

Great match report! I especially enjoyed "ran out of time so the client decided to push him over the line" and the BBDB quote at the end
id, can you let me know ASAP your plans for when we play for the right to play Cup Specialist Raveen in the final, so I can plan my life this week accordingly.

Re: RT BBL Season 9
Thanks for the report Rav and well played. Wasn't my favourite game I have to say.
I think the BBDB quote needs a correction - it wasn't The Cheeseosophers, it was Aristotle. He scored once, failed everything else, and got Badly Hurt off, possibly on a failed dodge, I can't remember.

I'm not up for playing Blood Bowl tonight, so either tomorrow or Wednesday. Which ever is better for you I guess, I am subject to the whims of a baby.

Aristotle passed 8 of 9 blood lusts, 2 of 2 GFI's, and 1 of 1 catches. He failed 6 of 20 dodge rolls though, but only rolled 2 1's for dodges so there must've been a fair few risky dodges in there. I think you're being a bit harsh on the poor philosopher! (or maybe his 2D6 and block rolls sucked... need to add those rolls to that page too)

OK - can re-evaluate tomorrow, the yes/no for tonight was what I really wanted.

Re: RT BBL Season 9
Yeah I think by now I've just decided that Aristotle is an eejit so am unnecessarily harsh.
