Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
Dwarves it is. The local taverns have each coughed up a player to ensure their representation in "The Good Fear Guide". Is there anyone not in round 2 of the cup who would like to take them on in a preparatory aerobic recreational initiative this Sunday?

Chaps, I'm currently thinking I might give season 10 a miss. I'm currently lacking in motivation to play blood bowl.

Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
Damn, I should have got in before you ID.
I've just posted that I am sitting out from my other league for 3 months and I think I might sit out season 10 here too.
A new team might be a new motivation, but I have all round low BB motivation too and would prefer to play my guitar. When do we need to know by?

Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
Realistically, if you two sit out, we have a league of 3 or 4 which doesn't really appeal.
I'd suggest resting for a few months but I'm concerned that we'd never pick up again. Certainly I'd look to play elsewhere if this league was on hold.
So the alternative is to go on a recruitment drive. I've made some contacts in the wider Blood Bowl world so I might be able to drum up some interest. What do people think?

Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
Initial not-well-thought-through thoughts... maybe the 4 of us could go play in another league for a few months, then come back here by which point some of our current restees might be back? If we have 3 or 4 new people join here it will feel like a different league anyway.
Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
Or we could join another league en-mass (sorry for the poor French, la) and those taking a break could follow in a few months/next season?

Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
Initial not well thought out thought back - ukbbl season is starting in next week or so, would probably welcome applicants (I think) as bb1 is losing numbers to bb2. But would have to be quick decision.
Sorry dudes, I think I just need a break to get my fever for it back, and also to play guitar and be really busy/tired most of the time, I don't want to contribute to everyone leaving. If one person staying would make the difference, I would play next season, with a new team, and with a break until after my holiday...

I really wasn't trying to guilt either of you exiters (BBLexit?) although I fear it may have come across like that.
I'm happy with UKBBL for now if this isn't happening and it's what I'd probably choose if that were the case.

Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
Could we break for the summer and come back in... September? And play friendlies in the meantime?
Totally understand people wanting a break by the way. I haven't played in, what, 4 weeks? I haven't missed it too much but would quite like to get back into it now.

Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
12 teams to a division so 11 weeks, indeed, then 2-3 weeks for the play offs.
edit: that said, due to numbers switching to bb2, the bottom tier might not be full - but the season is the same for Tiers 1-4. Dependent on numbers, it's possible newcomers still go into the conference for a season, where you don't get as many games but have to prove that you actually turn up. Some seasons have had Tier 4 divisions mangled by multiple quitters, ruining the fun for everyone. Once you sign up for a season, you have to make the effort to play the season.

If I hear nothing to the contrary tomorrow I'll stick in an application to UKBBL.

Re: Season 10 Early Thread?
I'd suggest you do it today, Rav, I think they are drawing up the division lists as we speak.
