Re: The Orcidas Challenge Rushing Cup - Final - 25th January

Excellent game and well played to both coaches. From a spectators POV, whilst there were definitely moves that I would have made differently, the only mistake was leaving the ball exposed after the failed GFI by La. One of those things but I'm trying to plan for failure of all dice rolls and to be in the best possible position no matter what.

Don't entirely agree Rav - the mistake was making the GFI! Worst move I have done for games.

But yes, if I really wanted to do it I should have moved other players first.

I don't know about you, but I felt that having 5 (?) people watch and chat about the game, and having come through a very tough/close semi final, really made for a sense of occasion I haven't felt in any other blood bowl match. It was similar to (but not as intense as) some Allegiance squad games (for those of us who remember those). Part of the sense of occasion was a sense of pressure and maybe this contributed to the odd sub-standard decision, from both of us.

That's how I saw it anyway. I thought it was a great occasion to be a part of, and I would be saying that even if I had lost.

Oh yes, I agree, it was good to have a communal finale.

It was remarkably hard not to discuss how I would have done certain things which I wanted to avoid to prevent giving hints. Also I didn't want to cheer on any particular side, although I did kinda want to see the Undercheesers win because they at least weren't Elves (sorry Gandalf :) ).

It was a lot of fun and I hope we'll be able to do the same in future.

OFF THE PITCH! OFF THE PITCH!

I failed at keeping my mouth closed, sorry about that! But really enjoyed watching the final.

Only natural to cheer on the underdogs Rav!
