Glad to see SuchDodge's main sponsor getting some advertising up here. Looking forward to the game vs Team Shrek, it'll be exciting that's for sure.

Daigaro and I are hoping to play later on this week, and we still need to catch up on our game Raveen. I'll be lucky to get out of the next three games with all my players intact!

I worked out how to get the other signature as well:

Code: Select all

Just replace your team name at the end. If it has spaces in it, replace them with %20 I think. You can also change "Signature1" to "Signature2"

Sometimes I wonder why I bother... :)

Welcome to Wednesday Night Football!!

Due to police requests, the grudge match between the SuchDodge and The Orkly Ducklingz had to be scheduled to coincide with the copper's day off, in order to maximize as much violence as possible for what some are calling the 'Geologist's Derby'.

Breaking team news... it seems the Orkly Ducklingz coach ate some of the confiscated mushrooms and totally ballsed up the contract signings of his new players... it turns out Percy the Troll is in fact a Troll and not a fancy nickname for a really tough Black Orc...

Anyhoo! The teams are ready!

LETS PLAY BLOOD BOWL!!!!!!!!!!!1

Well, it was a good fun game from my side, but the dice weren't as kind to Daigaro as they could have been.

The game opened with SuchDodge kicking off. The Orkly Ducklings got to give the ball to a player and caged up down my right flank, but their first block really set the tone for their game: double skulls. A +Strength block from an Amazon Thrower knocks the ball free, but loose and flurry of failed pickups by both teams sees the Orcs finally pick up the ball and start a caged attack down the opposite flank. Unfortunately, a failed GFI leaves the Orcs cage only half formed. Another scrum ensues but the Orcs only manage to push the Amazon girls around whilst a couple of Orcs end up on their backs and the ball is loose once more. Some nifty dodging sees SuchDodge 1 - 0 up at the end of the first half.

The second half opens with the referee deliberately messing around with the Amazon's line up. Despite giving an Amazon catcher a hint that the ball is going to land in the left corner of their touchdown zone, she fails to catch and the ball bounces off pitch. The fickle ref decides that this out of place catcher can't be given the ball as a throw in, hands it to the other Amazon catcher who just happens to be right in the front line and blows the whistle to start the match. The Amazons decide to pull back and form a lose cage around the ball carrier well into their own half. The Orcs surge shamble forward to attack so the Amazons decide to press up the right flank. Seeing themselves outmaneuvered, the Orcs bring out their star player, Bomber Dribblesnot, who was loitering near their touch line. The bomber throws his bomb at the ball carrier, but an utterly devoted Amazon catcher manages to intercept the bomb and throws it at the defending Orcs. The bomb goes off KOing a Black Orc, stunning another, plus Percy the Troll and an Orc lineman. With half the orc defenders either on their back or off the pitch, the Amazons run home a second touch down.

In the last few turns, the Orcs make a valiant attempt to score but the slippery Amazons just won't go down. The match ends 2 - 0 to SuchDodge. Whilst the dice did generally roll in my favour, I think having so many blodgers and two ST4 players made it very difficult for the Orcs to really do some damage. Cheers for the game Daigaro!

Indeedy Identi-'Puts-the-dodge-in-SuchDodge'-ty, I congratulate you on your win.

I would be much more sulky about it if it wasn't hilarious watching a perfectly launched bomb get intercepted, then lobbed perfectly at Percy the Troll, (I needed a -1 for the troll to catch it...) who scatters in to Leroy the Black Orc, who fumbles it to Jamal the Black Orc, who headed it to an empty square right in the middle of them all and then watch them all get blasted over, giving both Malcolm the Lineorc AND Leroy concussion and stunning the other two.

Without that spectacle, I'd be moaning about always rolling 1s or 3s on a D6, throwing 18 skulls, not rolling anything higher than a 9 on 2D6 for the entire match or only picking the ball up 3/7 times AGAIN (3 of these attempts were with Sure Hands too...).

The icing on the cake? The hired 'help' bombadier getting the bloody MVP. (Although when a goblin takes down a troll, 2 Black Orcs and a regular orc in one go, I suppose that does need rewarding).

Identity played well and deserved his win. Where there wasn't a blodger there was a ST4 wench instead. They beat the orcs at their own game, and even played some Beyonce whilst jumping about taunting the rather useless greenskins.

The Daily Orc reports that the entire team is still locked in the changing room well after the match concluded. Some say the coach was severely berating his players with a hairdryer... although comments about the confiscated mushrooms being passed around the entire team can neither be confirmed or denied...

Erm, it's me vs. id3nt this weekend, not Rav vs. id3nt.

True, I probably am the 3rd most qualified geologist here (Geology GCSE grade A :D) but I don't think you knew that :p

Having ST4 guys doesn't count for much when playing the Ogres, as Diagaro himself will tell you :)

I think you're fourth now Gandalf, Daigaro and I studied Geology together at uni.

The Amazons will be bathing in oil for their next match, Gandalf. I'm hoping you'll find them even more slippery than Daigaro did, as I plan on playing my usual Totaal BloodBowl against you.

Having ST4 guys and a ST5 guy really doesn't seem to count for anything when you're an Orc...

The Geologist's Derby was a catch up from last weekend Gandalf. Office Geos 1, Field Geos 0. I'll never live THAT down.

There's no such thing as an office geologist. If you're not on site, you're not a geologist :)

I'm a geologist of convenience.

Most of the time I'm a developer, but when you get a free trip with a sweet hotel and company bar tab you don't say no...

That never happens in the public sector. At least not to drainage engineers :)

*getting flashbacks of the geologist joke thread on the allegiance forums*

Anyhow, I grudgingly give up my place on the podium of "geologists in RT". Hmph.

Looking forwards to getting back into blood bowl this Sunday :)
