Mention to him that Temmop's first game of bloodbowl was his league match, and he din't finish bottom in his first season.

Also, tell him that there's a rookie Goblin team this year, so there's even BETTER chances that he wouldn't even finish bottom in his first season.

Imagine that.

I'm fine with his staggered entrance, as long as you know, he commits to the whole season so we don't get odd games and b) everyone else is.

I've been poorly this week (the joys of children!) so I won't have anything together for this sunday. Shall we set a start date of Sunday 15th Feb?

To make that workable please can I have all entries finalised by Monday 9th?

Chance I might be unavailable: Feb 15

Considering I have so many confirmed unavailable Sundays ahead, if the league ends up with an uneven number of players I will more than happy bow out. Even if the league is balanced I don't mind skipping this season if it's easier for everyone - I've got a really hectic couple of months coming up.

Edit: I just remembered at some point in April I am also planning on getting rid of my PC and replacing with a laptop. There will very likely be a period where I will be without anything as I'm planning on giving my PC to my mate to clean up and prep for sale (whole or in parts) to fund purchase of said laptop.

My friend is a yes, available from next week. Yet to figure out such things as team name or race though. I've only known him for 11 or so years so quite recently compared to some of you I'll see if there's any Sundays he can't do & let you know.

My friend doesn't think there are any Sundays he can't do, but he will check. His team will be decided by Thursday or Friday - I'm assuming this is OK?? I'm playing a couple of training games with him first so he can get the hang of the main rules. My Orc team left 4 of his High Elves un-injured in a game we just played, and I killed one as well. I've given him the list of races in our league (assuming Humans or Elves for Idanmel, and Chaos for Wyld) so he doesn't pick one that's already been chosen.

I don't think it would be really terrible if there was one duplicate, if it meant that a beginner got either his first choice or an easier team.

Orcs, amazons or elves of some description might be reasonably forgiving.


On a vaguely related note, I'm very interested in playing Skaven again at some point but hope to stick with Vampires for a couple of seasons at least. And already miss the Mighty Undercheesers.

I think there's more than enough easy-for-first-timer races to choose from - orcs, amazon, lots of elves, Skaven, even chaos dwarves. I left humans out in case Idan wanted to bring his team back.

It's interesting that we're about to start season 5, and no race has yet been chosen by 2 managers across all those seasons (as far as I can recall).
