Nurgle Beats orcs. - Superior strength and a bit of experience tell their toll as the Chaos boys break through the Orcs and win 2-0

Vampires beat Khorne. The Vamps coach uses them well, and has quite a lot of skills on board. Think they will win comfotably barring a terrible run with the dice.

Chaos Dwarfs versus Amazon. I'll go against the Grain, and against my better instincts perhaps by saying the Amazons win. Tackle being a problem - but the Amazons still have the pace to get around perhaps. But probably Dwarfs.

Humans versus Lizards. Probably humans, but the lizards may be quite friendly for a new player, and with a bit of lucky dice could get some breakaway scores.

What?! I may be mistaken but I think your team can be just as strong as mine, depending on who you pick in your line-up. If you pick blitzers rather than black orcs, you will have players with block which I somewhat lack....
and a bit of experience

From my 3 pre-season friendlies, the net gain by my team is that I now have 1 player with block, compared to 0 at the start. The winnings I'm still saving up, and the rest of the SPP are working towards level-ups, but aren't there yet. Give me the block & dodge on your team over my 1 pestigor with block any day.

So sorry, you'll need to come up with some other reasons for why you're going to lose. :p

On the other hand, something would feel a bit wrong if you weren't talking your team down at every available opportunity :)

I has 3 Black orcs ST4 and an Troll, versus (I guess) 4 Chaos Warriors ST4 and the BoN
A Pestigor with horns is effectively another ST4 player. (as I'd suggest he does the vast majority of your Blitzes)

I've gone a bit crazy and put a couple of Goblins in there too.

You have the edge on direct strength, if not on the block skill.

Unlucky - I assumed you'd have a few more skills by now :-)

I have 3 Nurgle Warriors (ST4) and a BoN. So strength is equal at the top end. At the bottom end I would gladly trade my ST3 rotters for some ST2 dodging goblins.

My sole Pestigor does < 50% of blitzes. He can't be everywhere at once!

Unlucky - I assumed you'd have a few more skills by now :-)

I would, but my last MVP award was given to a player who got killed. Those amazon girls are pretty dangerous. And another MVP went to the pestigor who would've levelled up anyway! Hence my comments about my team having a slow start before improving this season, there should be a lot more skills around on my team in 2 or 3 games. This first game is basically a brand new nurgle team vs. a brand new orc team, which gives the orcs the slight advantage (42% wins, 36% losses according to http://naf.talkfantasyfootball.org/lrb6.html).

I will try to forget the shame of defeat by doing some predicting of defeat instead!

ELO (Green Gits) vs Rock Knockers (Beardy Gits) – It’s possible that the surprising Centaur speed could win this for Raveen: if I was NJ I’d murder them as soon as possible. And then murder hobgoblins too. 1-1.

Club 27 (Khorne) vs It’s a Sign (Nurgle) – The Chaos Derby! Crikey. It’s gonna be a mess. A Herald didn’t die last match so ID has to watch out. 1-1.

Moose (Lizards) vs Cheeseosophers (Philosophers in the art of Cheese) – I bet the Sauruses can dodge better than my vampeejits. Deciding on all the inducements will be tough for a new coach. 1-1.

Brave Hearts (Amazon) vs Isa Black Stars (Humans) – The women are going to be a tough proposition with no Tackle. Humans could concede if the coach gets annoyed enough with this. 1-1.

OOO predicting. Yes, much more fun that coming up with ways to inconvenience my boss.

Green Gits Vs Beardy Gits - NJ's missing the Glass Orcs, and I reckon the Dwarves will get their Tackle out to trip up some of the gobbos... However, it's Nuffle's Favourite Son playing. 5-0 to the Orcs.

Club 27 Vs Nurgles - Battle of the Chaos gods eh? Interesting. Will Shiny Demon avoid the Tentacles of the Blob? Percy can't answer that question, so he's on the fence (I have no idea how, he'll probably fall off) and predicting 2-1 to the Nurgles.

Gojira's Mob Vs Cheeseypoofs - Even after last week the clear league favourites have to be clear game favourites. Gojira is learning quick, and if he plays the wizards properly, maybe even has a look at Morg's availability AND remembers the correct offerings to Nuffle then I don't think a draw is unthinkable. 3-1 to the Vamps.

Amazons Vs Humans - Well Percy, what do ya think? Is that right eh? Well, Percy reckons that if the lads can't get their Tackle out, or they haven't been watching enough Giant Haystacks to figure out how to wrestle then this is gonna be tough. He fully expects a game of handbags and pushing, lots of tackle zones, lots of falling over and most likely a Black Country Pap from the Isa team's coach. Thanks Percy. 0-0.

Hope that motivated y'all on a wonderful Tuesday afternoon.

Just a warning that the schedule will change if Abom is going to play. I'm just waiting to hear from him confirming things. As things stand now:

ELO vs Rock Knockers - Technically it's njs turn to win but his BOB's have booked themselves in for a spa day at Percy's Country Retreat for Hard Working Black Orcs so I'll have the strength advantage, or at least make it even. The Orc Blitzers are still excellent though so it'll hardly be easy. No more than 2-1 either way, but I think this could be a 1-1 draw.

Club 27 vs It’s a Sign - I've always been a fan of Papa Nurgle so I'll call this one for Gandalf. I can see the strength deficit causing some frenzy problems as the pitfighters bash into blocks they can't win. You can never write off that big winged bastard though. 0-1

Gojira vs Cheeseosophers - Sensible money has to be on an experienced team with one of our best coaches. Nuffle laughs at the people with sensible money. I predict that Archimedes falls over and breaks his collar bone on the first dodge and Pythagoras gets eaten by a hungry troll in an impromptu throw team mate experiment. Seriously, 2-0 to the vamps.

Brave Hearts vs Isa Black Stars (Humans) – That Amazon team is looking very tasty and Red Lion is coaching them well. I haven't seen the Black Stars' roster but I think they'll have trouble with the multiple blodge, occasional guard and St4 catcher. 2-1 to the Amazons

So, changing schedule removes ELO and replaces them with the 13th Doomwheel.

Azorgh Rock-Knockers vs 13th Doomwheel - I fancy my chances here. If I can get hold of the gutter runners I'll be able to tackle them and Av7 is a good time for my chaps.

Well, I'm going to have go find Percy again now to tell him things have changed.

He doesn't cope well with change Rav.

And how's he meant to predict anything when he doesn't know the team, and he doesn't know the coach! He's gonna need some seriously strong 'shrooms to predict this one incorrectly.

5-2 to the rats he says.

Crikey - I'd also back the Dwarves, natural enemies of the skaven. Bit of luck will see the skaven score a few though.
