Re: Season 8 Predictions Thread
Tonights predictions....
Ducklingz Vs Wombsick - Horrible, horrible first game; resembling a Union match from the 80s (please don't let it rain too...) and lots of violence. 1-1 draw.
Masturbaters Vs Team Shrek - La will win; but Dalf cackles away with the morale victory of scoring a consolation TD after a turn 14 pitch clearance. 4-1 to the rats.
Punch Dummies Vs Bad for Thy Elf - Even if NJ says he'll lose; he'll win and Abom will have lots of fun blowing himself up. 3-1 to the Elves.
Feebles Vs Nermal Distribution - All the neutrals will be cheering for a Undergirl victory after the pre-season media campaign; but the commish's 'totally not fixed' easy start to the season gives the Feebles a nice 3-1 win and some skills on the Wolves.
One Hit Oneders Vs MarS Spiders - In a musical context it's not even a matchup - HOWEVER - if we go on UK Number 1's then the Oneders will win 11-5. I see this going that way too - There's probably much more to admire in the Bowie's approach to the game; but the catchiness of the skinks will give them the win. 3-2 to the Lizards and Rav's happy that he suffered minimal injuries.

Punch Dummies vs Bad For Thy Elf? - I'd be daft to call for anything other than a Dark Elf win. It'll be carnage though! 2-1 to the Elfs
The Mastercheesers vs Team Shrek = Dirty Ag 4 vs dirty freakish Ag 4. I'll go with just dirty this time out, 2-0 to the Cheesechaps
The Nermal Distribution vs Fables! = Fables to take this 2-0.
One Hit Wonderz vs MarS Spiders = I'm hoping that raw strength won't be enough to stop the Bowies. 3-1 to the Spiders
A Fistful of Boomstick vs Orkly Ducklingz - If Gertie gets her game on then it'll be Mayhem! 2-1 to the Orcses.

Yes.
Another feather in your "moral victory already for the season" cap, RL!

I'm glad the interview was popular; perhaps Growly will pin down Percy at some point and find out about more about the Troll behind the mask?

Would you mind me sharing that with the wider blood Bowl community?
Re: Season 8 Predictions Thread
Downside of sharing it widely is that you will be mocked even more than I mock you for predicting an ogre team to win the league :p Though their chance of success have just improved somewhat thanks to getting block on a 2nd ogre.
Seriously good work though, above & beyond the call of duty again.

Re: Season 8 Predictions Thread
I can't see a problem with sharing it - its fun and there isn't anything personal to anyone in there.
I think the ogres will do ok! We're only one game in. Perhaps I did overestimate their capabilities - if you will have agili-ogres, well, this is the sort of confusion that is likely to occur - but we'll see. It was a genuine prediction though, nothing personal about it!
(Aside: The program I used for animating the character - Adobe Character Animator - I hadn't even heard of it until coming across it while Googling for something else on Thursday morning. Turns out I already had it on my computer, as it downloaded as part of/with one of the other graphics packages I have. Making the character in (Adobe) Illustrator took a while, but the actual animation was really straightforward - if a character is set up well with a variety of possible face shapes then lip-syncing is automatic. If Percy did want to get involved, I could set up a character and all Percy would have to do is talk to me over Mumble. I think. I haven't tried this, but I can't see what the snag would be. Testing the program on Friday, Red Lion was responding merrily to the tennis commentary I had on the radio. After recording the animation there is a bit of post-processing to get the output into a usable form. For Red Lion this took ages actually as I hadn't tried it before, but hopefully it wouldn't take as long again.)

Re: Season 8 Predictions Thread
Perhaps if I had gone less with gut instinct and pretty graphics and spent more time looking at the teamsheets...
Re: Season 8 Predictions Thread
I've found there's a lot of space in Blood Bowl for pretty graphics and making it up as you go along. Why do you think the Fables have just bumbled around in the mid-to-top of the tables for so many seasons?

Re: Season 8 Predictions Thread
Hoho, I'm sure Percy would be up for an interview... if you could hold him down that it; he has a habit of buggering off at the most inopportune times...
We'd have to ask 'His voice' very nicely, and I can send you over the big version of his portrait that you could work from for his animation...
