I figured with ten of us, we'd just see where we are a couple of weeks in.

I've created a league, it's called "RT BBL Season 8". I can't remember how to change the minimum team value though, so if it's less than 920 the Punch Dummies are going to have a problem.

I found it, and set the minimum to 500, maximum to 3000.

To get the setting to show up you just have to fiddle with all the other until it appears, then set it and try and remember what your original settings were.

Well done ID; I remembered we'd found it before but it was buggy as a... er... Cyanide game?

Why do you have a no entry sign as your signature?

Also, the last week is currently on Easter Sunday; not that it bothers me, might bother Jesus, and also my wife who probably won't let me play that weekend due to in-law invasion.

Well, it's Rav's Season 8 banner, but for some reason it's not working.

As I said, we'll play a few weeks and see where things stand.

Well, the expected uber-violent match actually turned out to be a bit of a cuddlefest really; a well earned draw for the Orcs really; the Wombstick probably had the best of it.

Let's see how this goes for info:

http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=110

I killed a Mummy, but it got better, and Moose killed probably my best Glass Black Orc, but he got better too.

Zlatan IbrahimavOrc has his first non-useless match; finally levelling up and taking some pressure off PirlOrc.

The Fables won 2-1 against The Nermal Distribution but sadly lost their leader, Bigby Wolf, who was sliced in half by Morg'n'Thorg.

In general, I felt that Red Lion didn't get the best luck of the dice. Bomber Dribblesnot did nothing useful, an then got injured off. The Wizard's killing lighting bolt was for nothing as my Flesh Golem regenerated for the next drive. Then I 'won' every kick off, gaining two re-rolls in the first half, and escaped unhurt from a pitch invasion, whilst RL ended up with all but two of his players knocked over.

The game started with the Underworld kicking to the Fables, who pushed up the field and then managed a rush through the Nermal Distribution's line as a misclick/bad route opened up a hole for them. However, the Red Lion scored back easily by luring the Fables into an opportunity to get the ball before scampering off with a running play diagonally out of reasonable reach of any Fables players. 1 - 1 at half time.

The second half opened with the decimation of the Underworld, who were already a player down. The Fables cautiously advanced, using Werewolves to put pressure on the ball carrier who panicked and fumbled a pass to Morg'n'Thorg. Grimble was able to dive in and make the most of the mistake, scooping up the ball and then stalling out a couple of turns before scoring in turn 15.

Well played, Red Lion. I'm glad I played you at this end of the season, rather than the other when no doubt you'll have the hang of Underworld and be unstoppable.

It was a good game. It was a shame about Bigby; I'm glad the FG survived as he would have been a really big loss right at the start of the season. The dice did go wrong at exactly the worst moments (specifically Animosity) but still, to score with the Underworld in their first league outing was better than I thought would happen.

Thanks for the game Id!

The Mastercheesers got off to a good start with a 4-1 win over Team Shrek - even better was not suffering anything serious to anything other than a loner linerat.

(news just in - joint top most violent match in the history of RTBBL!)

The Skaven kicked; a snotling (?) picked up the ball and promptly got knocked over. With the ball loose, the Skaven ran a lot and picked it up and scored in their turn two.

I can't quite recall what happened next, but it ended up with the Mastercheesers being 2-0 up, and then Team Shrek pulled one back in outrageous elfball crowdpleasing fashion.

Then in the second half, I somewhat mangled my offensive drive but managed to extricate both the ball and a gutter runner eventually, and it was 3-0.

With 3 turns left, a snotling received the ball, got smacked down, and then it was 4-1.

It felt like the dice all round were fairly even, I got a couple double ones I think; no one got any double skulls that I remember. It was an enjoyable game from my perspective.

I nearly feel bad for when PirlOrc, Gerty & Co spend the entire game hunting down Bigby the 14th when the Ducklingz play the Feebles...

I'm pretty sure that I scored the second touchdown of the game to make it 1-1, then you scored again in turn 8 to make it 2-1.

Shrek goes Fourth (the AG4 one) was truly ridiculous. First there was the "elfball" TD which was a handoff catch in a tackle zone and then a dodge, so not that crazy really. He did a pass in turn 8 to get an SPP. Then later on he did two dodges to blitz the ball carrier & then picked it up! Unfortunately it went downhill after that, rolling 3 1's in a row I think.

I don't think the dice were even, I think I had the better of it. Bonehead wasn't too bad on the whole, I did a few crazy things at times, and none of my 2D blocks failed that I can recall (1 in 9 should fail). Ogres need better luck to have a chance against most teams, and I did actually have a chance. In turn 12 it was still in the balance, 2-1 with the ball in my half in the middle of a scrum. If I had got it out I could've flung it upfield to a snotling who was waiting 5 squares from the TD zone and grabbed an unlikely draw. Ultimately though the ball popped out of the wrong end of the scrum and la scored. I don't think I played that bit of the game fantastically, but then, neither did la at times. Gutter Runners with 2 level ups are cheating :p

1 Ogre sits out next match, a crowd of snotlings got badly hurt. A good result for me. And - good grief - I rolled a double on an ogre!!! 2 ogres with block now; will make quite a difference I think. MVP went to an ogre too. I'm a very happy coach. The agility 4 ogre was even more fun than I thought he would be.

2-1 for the One Hit Wonderz against Rav's Bowies.

I kicked to start the game and won a perfect defence, which I used to block the line of elves Raveen set up to invade my half. The Elves on their first move tried to one die blitz with a loner, which failed and failed the loner re-roll. This might be the quickest 1st turn I witnessed. Stuff happened... The Lizards scored.

During the 1st half my Krox boneheaded 3 times, bugged out of moving while boneheaded from the last turn once, and spent two other turns lying on his back. Again, stuff happened and the Rav scored on Turn 8, making it 1-1.

2nd half I spent caging while slowly moving up field and managed to score in the last turn. On Rav's last turn he fouled a Saurus to death, but the apothecary managed to revive him and he'll have to miss the next game while recovering from a broken jaw.

That second drive I'm quite proud of, Idan got a blitz and surrounded the ball and I followed suit. I pushed a skink onto it and it bounced out of the mass. I dodged out, back in to pick up the ball, dodged out again, threw the ball perfectly for a short pass and got intercepted by a Saurus. I knocked the Saurus down, got the ball and inaccurately passed it into space. The lizards pounced and surrounded the ball. Again I pushed a skink onto it (or knocked down a skink holding it) and the ball scattered to a Saurus, who caught it. I knocked him down, grabbed the ball, dodged out and scored.

I earned that one!
