Ho ho ho, G chose to ASSUME

I didn't; in fact I did quite the opposite...

In any case, none of this chit-chat directly addresses the content of my message. It's like getting blood from a stone sometimes on this forum...

Yes you did, you saw that BBM did the scoring thing so you assumed that RTBBL did the same.

That's not really the opposite is it.

I'm fairly sure this has been discussed and indeed decided before in previous season threads and the answer is td difference.

If there is consensus (as opposed to eejitry from fictional beings who spend one sixth of their time in a state of profounder than normal eejitry) then Gandalf's suggestion is okay with me.

I think my plan was a hierarchy of TD difference > TD scored > casualties inflicted but it never came up.

I like the new plan as it balances elfy bullshit with bashy nonsense.

Yes, let's blame ID.

But still, it's not actually WRITTEN anywhere about how ties are decided, just lots of asumptions.

It looks like Percys point of view will be ignored (again) so yes, G's proposal makes more sense than the dull, non-blood bowl-ethics of 'top scorer' (yawn) decides ties.

I thought Rav was agreeing with you?

I thought Rav was saying TD difference first decider, TD scored 2nd decider and (mighty) casualties 3rd decider.

But he likes Gs proposal.

It's almost like Percy could have an argument with himself in an empty room. Perhaps he is bald.

I thought he was referring to your idea as the new plan.

Pre-season friendly bash-up as id3's new chaos team take on Gandalf's new-ish Norse team.

http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=148 (they now display logos!)

First half Chaos receive. Their opponents instantly down to 10 due to a thrown rock. They cage up and march downfield. The Norse take out a couple of Chaos warriors and try and bash their way into the cage. The ball goes loose in turn 5 but A beastman picks it up, GFI's and scores. The Norse have 3 turns to score... no wait 2 (or was it 1?), as the clock is pushed forwards a turn. The Norse fail their first 6 attempts to pick up the ball anyway. 1-0 Chaos half time.

Second half and the Norse receive. Eventually they pick the ball up (woo!). Lots more bashing happens and it looks like the bash game is finally heading the Norse way. With everyone marked up the Norse thrower decides to heck with it, he'll run towards the line himself, and promptly gets some Broken Ribs for his bravado (miss next game). The ball is loose and some mighty scrums happen. Eventually the Norse get their hands on it, run towards the line and flatten the lone Chaos in their way (shortly before this id re-rolls BD/skull to double red skulls, ouch). As a loner had the ball I try a hand-off to a non-loner, which works. 1-1 with 2 turns left.

But wait! The clock now goes back a turn! 3 turns left, 6 chaos blokeys receive against 8 Norse. Some blitzing, bashing and elf-like pickup & dodging later and the Norse just need to do a hand-off to score, but fail with a re-roll, and it finishes 1-1. I wait months & months for a draw and then I get 2 in a row.

---------------------

Un-Son hero is a werewolf of mine. He got -1 AG in his first game, then after the last game I had enough money to replace him, so I did. His reincarnation promptly got -1 AG again (apoth gave me the option of -1ST instead). This guy appears to be cursed. I did kill a chaos beastman and give another one -1AV though. I'm sure the chaos will have some more favourable matchups to come though. Norse at 1000-ish TV are pretty good.

GG, and I won't bore you with dice stats except to say I attempted 73 blocks!! Oh also we attempted 24 1D blocks between us. In the second half with fewer players we both tried some risky stuff. It was fun.

Yep, it was a good game. Thanks for doing a write up Gandalf. Perhaps Norse weren't the best team to go up against first, but I was happy with a draw.

Cracker Chaos faced off against the Really Bad Baddies and smashed them into a red pulpy mess.

http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=150

2 - 0 to the Crackers in the end, and the Really Bad Baddies were never heard of again. The Chaos received and did a classic slow grind up the field, injuring and maiming everywhere they went, to score in turn 7. The second half started with 6 Khorne on the field. A short kick by the Chaos pretty much sealed the deal. Cyril Sneer, the Bloodthirster, blitzed every chance he could get, but didn't break armour at all. The Crackers quickly got the ball and then stalled/smashed out the game until turn 16.

Thanks for the game Daigaro, you might have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those damn dice...
