Frenzy vs dodge... generally I'd go for dodge. However dai's team does have horns, +ST + AG going on. I think it'll be a fun match and end in a 1-1 draw.

With No Entry now having block, and me being back to my full complement of 4 Nurgle Warriors, I think my team will be too strong and blocky for the Undead to cope with. Depends how the inducements perform. 1-0 Nurgle.

Punch Dummies vs The Cheeseosophers
The depleted Vampire team should still be too strong for the Gobbos. 3-1.

Snow troll vs Warpstone troll! Tough one to call... I'll say draw.

So, a quick pre-game re-prediction as the Last Plaice are playing the Podcasters tonight, and Dai mashed my quarter back and running backs in the last game. Both mummies and both wights in fine fettle, but 3/4 of the ghouls are out, so the roster has 9 players. Inducements are 70,000. So I expect to be skeleton-or-zombie heavy tonight, whichever BB gives me as make-up-numbers players. Did someone say halfway-line stodge fest? I think Rav will out block me - so Iceweb 2-0.

Khorne - Nurgle.... Khorne on good form so will say a draw. These last 3 matches look good for me causing lots of casualties, this, then Underworld (AV7! stunty!) then Goblin (even more AV7, stunty and ST2!). Just so long as my players stop dying that is.
Amazon – Vampires. Feels like 2 managers frustrated with their teams at the moment, but very much still in the title race. All the blodge will help Idanmel against this bunch. Thralls gonna feel some pain. Saying all that.... 2-1 Vampires
Underderby 1-1 hey RL3 if you could take out the guy with claw ahead of the week after I would be much obliged.

Today has been grey; rainy but not enough to really water the plants well; not cold exactly, but exactly too chilly to just wear a jumper outside; unproductive even before the power went down. Rimmermaid's revised prediction for today is

Red Lion thinks Rimmermaid may have been troubled by the despair squid again, and might not be up to much tonight. He'll probably KO himself in a 2-D block against a goblin in turn 1.

Yellow Tiger thinks this is exactly what you can expect if the squad has salad for lunch.

It's A Sign! vs No Stable Isotopes -
The isotopes are brutal. The claw is one of the things that can really hurt G's high-armour players. But there are a lot of high armour players. So a brutal game that the sign will win 2-0.

Idanmel (Amazon) vs Raveen (Norse) -
The irresistible block force meets the highly movable objects. I think Rav has this one, 2-1.

Revenge of last plaice vs Punch Dummies -
Marching under the banner "I chain, I saw, I conquer"* the punch dummies amble to victory 2-1.

(* I'll probably stop laughing at this in about an hour.)

I can't complete with the entertainment value of RL3's recent posts so I'll just post my predictions/analysis.

Khorne - Cheese... 1-1
Nurgle 1-0. The nasty MB/claw underworld team can eat my strength 4 block. Who knows, maybe the league leaders for breaking armour (by a *long* way) will injure some of them.
Norse-Amazon - wow, blocks and dodges galore. Will the extra strength on Rav's team be enough to carry him to victory? No, let's say 1-1
A second consecutive entertaining 2-2 draw for the Goblins, against an undead team still looking for their first points of the season

Well, I’m not sure how mangled Id’s team is after their last match so perhaps I should look to inform my judgement.

Two rats out for the Underworld, if I have correctly interpreted things. Well, in that case, the NSI will need to replace them to have an equal chance against all that bloody horns nonsense although really what difference does ST3 make, given all that horns nonsense? So may as well keep to trusty gobbos and a potential wizard. But then, only one thrower? Bit of a risk, innit.

So I expect quite a violent game with the yearnings for expansive expressive football somewhat hindered by the great big mess that will happen.

2-1 to someone.

The Cheeseosophers vs Raveen (Norse)
Urg. Urg. Just – Urg. Block block block block block, and not a lot most of the Cheeses can do to escape it either, being incapable of dodging, running, or blocking.

So that’s a clear 2-0 to the Norse.

However! The Norse are on a run of bad form, which you’d expect them to turn around immediately, so let’s go with 3-0.

However! Star Player Aristotle is on a season long run of nearly 1 in 4 dice rolled being 1s, so let’s go with 4-0.

Although we should bear in mind that overall, the entire Vampire team are on a season long run of nearly 1 in 5 dice rolled being 1s, so let’s go with 5-0 to the Norsemen.

I was going to go with something more conservative, but it’s hard to argue with rational analysis.

It's A Sign! vs Punch Dummies
Well, the gobbos are the story of the coaching season really, aren’t they – but that doesn’t mean they’re going to not lose this. Probably 3-0. But at least they’ll win second place in the Heroic Resistance in the Face of Overwhelming Odds trophy.

Idanmel (Amazon) vs Revenge of last plaice
The Last Plaice are quite literally not doing so well yet this season, and it’s probably the time for them to turn things around and make a stand against potential relegation. Being a romantic at heart, I have to go with this heart-warming story and therefore back them to win 4-1.
