Ok, I've played a little now. I find it terribly hard to keep track of the ball

That's the idea Spinx. But can somebody tell me how to keep track of the ball first? Is there some key or option to highlight it? Additionally I'm having trouble with the 3 min time limits :|

A good friend of mine, and a fellow gamer is interested in joining our league. He's almost as newbish as I am about the game.

Are you ok with the idea?

So far I don't think this game is "exciting".

You won't get a huge amount out of playing against your PC, Idan.  The AI isn't very advanced and can lead you into some bad habits that a human opponent will punish.
Among other things, a human opponent will be able to metagame.  If they're winning or losing, there's a good chance they'll target your star player for a damn good bashing in the hope of taking them out of the league altogether.  More aggressive players tend to measure their success not by how many points they've scored, but by how full their opponents injury boxes are.

I can't join this weekend. Huge exam    After the weekend, monday at the earlierst and I'll join. Should we reserve races?

I don't know that we need to reserve anything.  If more than one player go for the same race then that should be fine.
Except Dwarves.  They're boring to play as and not much fun as an opponent either.  Get ball, cage up, bash to the scoreline.  Not much room for entertaining shenanigans with the stunty li'l bastards.  But that's just my personal opinion.

I just think it may be more fun if we all pick different teams. More contrast, colour and hilarity. It's not like there isn't enough to choose from.

I'm not sure. This goes to the heart of what RT is in a post-Alleg world. Sure we meet new people playing games with others, but inviting them into our own squad league... I'm genuinely not sure.
