Idan and I played our game early, quick recap, hopefully I don't misremember things:

Goblins receive. Trolls get unlucky with their rolls as the skinks prove very resilient. The game starts to go south for the gobbos right away so they go for a running play, assisted by Diving Catch in Cyanide's BB client. 1-0 for the gobbos.

Lizardmen get the ball now. Scared of the Saurus bashing game, gobbos elect to throw a bomb... 1! They reroll... 1 again! Lizardmen knock some gobbos around. Gobbos go for the bomb play again... 1! ....1 again! A gobbo is killed or hurt by the bombardier. Lizardmen run down. 1-1, tie game!

Touchback! Gobbos elect to give the ball to a troll, which was a big mistake as there was very little time on the clock. Should have given it to a goblin and done a OTT attempt. It all goes horribly wrong and Idan shows me the skink movement advantage. 2-1 for the lizardmen!

2nd half. Lizardmen viciously knock around the gobbos to the point where there are only like 4 players left on the pitch. They score a late touchdown after both teams' rerolls were used early in the half. 3-1 for the lizardmen!

Gobbos go for a OTT but Nuffle hates all their throw attempts this game and the gobbo gets injured. Final score: 3-1 for the lizardmen with part of their winnings being paid off to Techies the mad self-hating Bombardier, who now owns a nice summer home in Ibiza.

Some big misplays on my part with the bombardier, caging, and not knowing the Skink movement advantage as well as the trolls having 0 luck in the game made for a quickly decided game by halftime, in my opinion. Sorry for not giving you a better showing, Idan! Good game. :)

2 - 0 to the Fables, after particularly bad injury dice for Gandalf.

The ultimate injury count was four Snotlings and one Ogre for Team Shrek, a regenerated zombie and sacked Wight for the Fables.

The files failed to upload though (it times out) and then the second time complained that the files already existed.

A rather violent affair, the ref was obviously a Ducklingz fan, the crowd were entertained and the Duckz clawed back a victory from almost ballsing it all up at the end.

http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... tch_id=138

The Masturbaters spent more time gang fouling than ever really thinking about the ball; when they did they got the ball or did some scoring.

Percy got over his career hoodoo of never beating La, and ending BOTH HALVES on the pitch, standing up, paying attention. Crazy.

The rats make the Ducks receive, and systematically isolate players to smack over with a StormRat and foul with a DirtyRat - The ref sets his stall from the off by using up the Rat's bribe straight away while the Orcs muddle about between themselves, checking every blade of grass for any sneaky, horrible gutterlickers waiting to pounce - turns out there was nowt to worry about as they were all being 'Big 'n 'Ard' kicking Percy on the floor.

There's players going off KO'ed or injured on both coaches' turns, then the Ducks get the swing by removing the StormRat and the DirtyRat in one turn and make a loose cage to rumble up the flank. As soon as Steve BullOrc is in scoring range a WizardRat clouts him with a Lightning Bolt and he's off to join Percy having a snooze. However, the ball falls favourably for the Duckz, who clear some room, and suprise everyone by handing off the ball to Leroy to score in turn 7. Before this the Ladz get as violent as they can and the selflovers have to use up both Apothacaries trying to save key players.

Orcs defend deep, like really deep, in fear of more fouls really, then remember they left a few blokes on the LoS to take a kicking. The rats foul a bit and leave a GutterLicker in the open... with the ball... Gerty fancies it... ARGH!! IT'S A TRAP! La doesnt care about scoring! La want's Gerty on the floor for a kicking! But in true Bond Villain stylee La gives the game away and Gerty just pushes the GutterLicker-with-wrestle-who-wanted-to-get-Gerty-on-the-floor into the warm embrace of Percy, who did his most 2nd most useful task of the game... by doing nothing.

1-0 halftime, all the KO'ed Orcs are back and the a few rats continue their lie down.

Orcs defend deep again, but the rats clear some space and score in turn 12.

The Duckz have four turns to save the draw. But, Percy, suprisingly still on the pitch, gets the better of PrilOrc's judgement and says 'Why don't we try and score TWICE in a game?'

It all looks like it's going well, then a Gutterlicker springs up and wangs himself against the ballcarrier, and not only gets the ball free but picks it up as well. Thankfully he's already moved his 24 squares of movement, so he's left all alone. PilrOrc shakes his head in disgust, slaps the Gutterlicker into the KO box, gathers the lose ball and floats a quite perfect peach of a pass to Steve BullOrc who has the simple task of strolling towards then endzone. The Ducks think they have it in the bag. In fact, there's only one rat left on the pitch, of course it's in the bag, lets start getting excited about a pitch clea... ARG! wait, dodge dodge dodge through multiple TZs, GFI, GFI, THWACK!! Steve's down again and the ball's off the pitch... THANKFULLY it's wanged kindly to the Ducks, and Mrs Reliable Gertrude picks it up to score in turn 16.

That's the first time I've beaten La in a LONG time; I think mainly down to me getting the rub of clearing out his good players, him getting the other good players sent off (THREE sending's off for La, one saved by a bribe) and the selflovers being in a cheese-induced-fouling rage as opposed to a cheese-induced get the ball rage.

That should keep the title race open a bit longer anyway.

The Dark Elves beat the Amateur Elves 1-0
The lesser elves take Eldril.

Dark Elves received. The Weak elves get a blitz which allows them to get players around the ball, But the dark elves start knocking these goody two shoes elves around, get the ball free and eventually manage to get it down by the lesser elves corner with the ST4 blitzer holding the ball.
The soft elves get around the ball and (with a bit of luck) knock the ST4 DE off the field. The ball scatters in the middle of the park. A weedy elf picks it up, but is immediately sacked. The Dark Elves pick the ball up, and cage it. But the cage is well surrounded, eventually the Dark Elves get a 1 GFI chance to score on the last turn of the half which fails.

0-0 at half time

A few of the delicate flower Elves have been Ko'd and a number have been injured, so I believe Rav started the second half with 8, whilst the Delves have been untouched.

The Dark Elves kick off and the poor elves receive and run players into the DarkElf half, one of which immediately gets pushed off the field by the witch elf.
The poncy elves try to switch the play to the other side of the field, but they quickly get surrounded by Defenders.
The puny elves manage to break free, and manoeuvre the ball out and pass down-field to an elf who has just got up. The Dark Elves quickly flatten the player pick it up and pass downfield. The Delves then have a chance to stall for a bit, scoring on the last turn.
1-0 to the dark elves
As a symbol of how the game has gone Rav has to set up for the final turn with his 5 remaining players (eldril was injured along with another, one was killed, plenty of Kos)
Whilst the Delves haven't lost a player injured or Ko'd all game.

Unlucky Rav. it felt like I had the rub of the block dice, and I definitely had the rub of the injury dice. There were some really good clever plays which with a bit more luck could have turned the game around, but in the second half numbers and the injury dice told....

You injured another Ogre too, a career-ending injury too, but I seem to have brought the Wood Elves' apothecary with me to Team Shrek and it went to Badly Hurt. What the heck is it with snotlings getting hit in the first half, across my last 2 games the number that have been depitched is beyond belief, the first 5 today and the dark elf game was similar. Yes they are snotlings, no this does not mean that they always go off the pitch every time they get hit (less than half of successful blocks assuming no mighty blow). Try having 11 players vs 5 ogres and no snotlings, it's pretty easy stuff.

I also rolled 2 quadruple red skulls to follow up my 1 from last game??!! They are statistically 1 in 1,296 events...

Just checked out the Orcs injury dice. Half of them were 9+, no wonder there were so many Skaven off the pitch.

Well I think more than the dice if it wasn't Daigaro's solid play it was my 5 errors I think that I should blame (a foul was only one of them).

Edit: possibly 7, on reflection

I think our overall luck was about even, but yours was spread sort of evenly whereas mine came in splurts of amazing dice followed by a double 1.

It was a real back and forth game with both of us breaking away but not being able to quite get clear. At least twice I was able to score on the next turn but you got a block in and got the ball free.

I think the telling thing might be the skill differential between the teams, you have blodge everywhere and I don't, yet, making the blocking game favour you massively.

Lots of fun as ever.

Sorry Diagaro I didn't mean to belittle your success. It's a fact that luck affects every game, but it's not the only factor, it's not easy to see who played well, poorly, what mistakes were made etc. in fact the only people who should be commenting on such things are those who played it or watched it hence I only mentioned the dice. Also pitch clearances are pretty rare so I wanted to see what the dice had to say about it.

In the interests of evening it up, the dice also showed that your block dice were average/below average whereas the few block dice that la rolled were amazingly good.

Congrats on breaking your long run of not beating la. We have a very interesting end of season ahead of us...

With 2 games left there are 6 teams still in the race for 1st place.

To secure the top position:
The Lizards need 4 points.
The Skaven need 6 points.
The Orcs need 6 points and that both the Lizards and Skaven not reach their required points.
The Dark Elves need 6 points and that the Lizards get only 1 point, the Skaven and Orcs only 3.
The Fables need the same thing the Dark Elves needs plus a better goal difference than the Dark Elves.
Raveen needs a bloody miracle.
Ints kill nans, probes kill bombers.

The Orcs could theoretically overtake lizards/skaven on TD difference. It would require a bit of a change of strategy though. But hey they're playing Ogres next, joint worse defence in the league.
