He was probably too occupied with how he's going to tell Lou Filthmonger Reed there's a massive Bownty on his head.

I'm sure Zara got a Niggle, might be worth checking that (although as the injury doesn't carry forward maybe everything's working properly).

Fables hide from Halflings, but ultimately win 2-1. Rav manages to throw a halfling and knock down the target. Mister Dark killed Zara the Slayer and the Fables her back as a Zombie.

So, Rav had something like 630k inducements which he spent on Zara, the Halfing Master Chef and a bribe. All of which got used. I won the toss and elected to kick, setting up my players to defend against a throw team-mate. Rav pushes down my left flank, stabbing Bigby on the way with Zara. The Fables close in a bit and try to hit Zara but it doesn't go very well... Rav sees his chance to throw a halfing with a ball, but makes sure to tie up the Fables in tackle zones first. The thrown hafling fails his landing and the ball goes free deep in my half. We have a bit of a scrum for the ball, but with Zara about and my players tied up it's difficult for me to defend an Rav scores in turn four. Apparently Bagheera killed him self when he rolled attacker down against someone but thankfully regenerated.

Rav kicks to me and the Werewolf/Wight pairs push into the Halfling half on either flank of the pitch. Fairy Godmother picks up the ball and moves over to the left flank. The Halflings set up in columns to defend on the left, so Bloy Blue, Bahgeera and the Fairy Godmother push over to the right. A few more unwise hits are aimed towards Zara the Slayer and she eventually gets KO'd. A few halflings get thrown towards the ball carrier but there's not a lot to stop Fairy Godmother handing the ball to Boy Blue who scores in turn 8.

Second half: I think I'm down to 10 players, Rav still has Halflings in reserve and Zara recovers from her KO. Fables receive again, and stick to what works. Zara picks on a few Fables but only manages to KO Peter Piper, the newly hired Zombie, until Bigby unwisely stands within range of a Treeman. The Treeman rightly stomps on him and then the Halflings get a little bit distracted gang fouling Bigby. Boy Blue sees he chance and runs clear of the Halflings with a small escort. With Zara still in the Fables half and the rest of the Archers seriously attempting to do Bigby some serious harm, Boy Blue decides Bigby can probably take a bit of a beating for the team and stalls a couple of turns by the touchline. Eventually frustrated by their inability to do anything worse than Stun Bigby, the Halflings remember the ball and put an end to the stalling by pushing Boy Blue over the line, turn 12?

The Fables set up deep to receive a thrown Halfling, the Archers set up to throw a halfing. THE EMPEROR kicks the ball right off the end of the field, and a riot breaks out after such a stupendous kick losing the Archers a valuable turn to score back. Zara the Slayer runs forward to try and clear a hole in the defense. She Stabs Fairy Godmother in the back, causing her a Niggling Injury. Peggy Wooley tries to throw Eddie Grundy and the ball into the hole Zara made, but Eddie does not stick the landing and has to get taken off on a stretcher. With the ball loose and Zara within hitting distance, the Fables gang up on her. Mister Dark smashes her to the floor, kills her and then steals her soul to reanimate into a Zombie after the game. After that, it's just a matter of keeping the ball safe for a couple of turns and the game ends 2-1 to the Fables.

Well played Rav. Had my D6 not gone so well, I very well could have suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Halflings. Always fun to play against you, thanks for the game.

Dice:
The D6 were fairly lucky for both of us. Rav got 7.76 but didn't roll nearly as well as my 23.33. For once I succeeded every pickup (in contrast to last game) and didn't fail any GFIs either.
Conversely, the 2D6 were kinder to Rav: 11.83 vs my -0.67. We both succeeded half our injury rolls, but Rav was rolling against much higher armour values.
The Block dice had a tendency to roll in the worse end of what you'd like. 46 were attacker down or both down out of 129 block dice rolled but neither of us were particularly worse off, especially as I managed mostly two dice blocks.

Dark Elves fly and then fail well, orcs fail and well, just about save face.

Delves get a whopping 730k inducements, and are that excited by it all don't manage to spend everything. They did remember to tell Morg the adress though so that bugger showed up.

Delves win the toss and elect to receive. Even though the match is underground apparently someone put the wrong bulbs in the fire torches because it's blindingly bright.

So first half, everything goes wonderfully for the Delves, apart from losing a witch elf to smashed ankle in turn 1. Percy is obviously distracted by this week's podcast as he spends 7/8 turns doing bugger all. Delves make some nice space, skip downfield and protect the ball and (rightly so) decide to stall for a few turns; swatting orcs in between dodging out the way of being swotted themselves. The Orcs attempt three sacks on the ballcarrier, but a combination of misclicks and bad blocking keeps the ball handler safe enough to pass the ball about a bit, get it back and then skip in to score on turn 6 or 7. Orcs think about trying to score in two turns but balls it up and it's 1-0 at half time.

Worth pointing out PirlOrc spent the half KO'ed, giving new signing Zlatan IbrahimavOrc chance to grab the ball... which he fails once, twice, three times... THANKFULLY collecting on the 4th attempt and then throwing a very wobbly pass in a failed SPP farm attempt. Good job PirlOrc wasn't watching...

2nd half IbrahimavOrc just about managed to collect the ball (that's 4 out 6 attampts at picking up the ball failed... idiot) and scampers into the safety of Leroy and PirlOrc. Gerty remembers how to kill stuff and gets a few more casualties while the Delves totally capitulate and fall over a lot.

In move of utter bravery the Delves decide to lie on the floor as opposed to get up and either try and get the ball of fight like men. Orcs have to resort to 'respecting' in a attempt to make them stand up; but like true elves they just whinge instead. IbrahimavOrc trundles over the line in turn 16, giving the Delves enough time for a hypocritical 4 man turn 16 foul attempt on PirlOrc, who shrugs off the cowardly act.

I mean, it's just Elves.

Super dice and solid tactics in the first half for the Delves evened out by terrible dice in the 2nd. Orcs dice was pretty even, other than the failed pick ups and Percy being an idiot, but you know, he's got a media career to think about these days, so PirlOrc forgives him. And it would've be harder NOT to score in the 2nd half for the ladz so I'm happy they didnt bugger it up.

Also, main target for the game achieved - 3 casualties. So, just 3 more needed in the final game to be the Most Violent team in a season. AND ITS AGAINST HALFLINGS.

That's right folks, Ethel the AG2 Blitzer hasn't been sacked just because she has wants to get her Tackle out against the Stunties... Even PilrOrc fancies a go.

Good game NJ, you totally bossed the first half, I think I won the 2nd so a draw was a fair result

Elves win, Amazons farm SPP in throw-and-catch fest at the end.

Good Review.

I was intending to try and get some pressure on the ball towards the end but 3-4 consecutive turns tuned over really early and I had no rerolls left.

I was double layer defending until I saw a small chance to crack the cage, but my Merc Blizter rolled Double skull on his first block of my attempt, which left me horribly exposed for the orcs to plow through, (loner put paid to my last reroll there).
Next turn I failed a 2+ dodge on my first move of the turn.
The turn after that I failed a go for it on the first move of the turn.
The turn after that I rolled attacker Down on the first move of the turn
The turn after that the turn counter was too far on was too late so I did just leave the players lying down :-)

I was intending to just click end turn on the pointless final turn of the half, but PirlOrc made himself a target by mocking us by running into our half and catching the ball.
Poncing about with the ball deserves punishment, you understand that ? :-)

Good game. Was fun. Half my games this season have ended 1-1, so my final season results will be 2-4-2 which has a pleasing symmetry (I don't hold much/any hope of defeating the wanderers).
<Remember to put something witty in here>

No rerolls left? At least you started with re-rolls. The stupid halfing master chef stole all my rerolls at the beginning of the second half.

To your credit, that didn't seem to bother you.

Khorne are pretty good practice for working few very few/no rerolls. Plus, it probably helped that I got +23 D6 luck...

I'll do a proper match report tonight.

Yeah, you didn't seem to fail much in that half, even granted a conservative play style.

Poncing? PilrOrc doesn't ponce, he limps with the grace of an emu, and was trying to show the MeekElves how to play ball before yet another cowardly attack. Jealously is a frightfully vulgar thing ;)

With all the dodges you were making it was about time some failed, I had a quite giggle when that one Meekelf fractured his arm dodging about.

The skulls were unlucky though.
