Jarvis is the last hope of the season to stop the blatant wood elf cheatery going on. C:-) And maybe give the season to a rat who's only got one paw in the cookie jar... C:-)

Elves - Amazons (abridged)

RL3 takes a wide selection of inducements. Still no Morg! Was convinced I was going to be facing him most of the season. notj says he'll have him next week.

Amazons receive. An insta-fireball only managed 1 KO and 1 stunned. They form a loose cage on my left hand side. With my first two blocks of the day I get a badly hurt & KO!! I then break into the cage, knock over the ball carrier and pick it up. The amazons can only push him, which with side-step meant he was pretty free to run in and score. 1-0.

And the TD's kept coming. I can't remember everything in order. Here's some bullet points.
- I injure his MB/guard blodger and stand firm/guard blodger early on (one badly hurt, 1 miss next game)
- A wardancer gets -1 ST, but no worries, world's best apothecary makes it badly hurt.
- RL3 tries a rectangle formation and was in with a shout late in the first half, but a couple of skilled-up sackers saw to that.
- Lots of passes
- Silliest TD was when one amazon broke free in my half - in one turn I knock him over, pick it up, throw it to a marked elf and walk in for the TD
- I shared the SPP around thus getting 5 level-ups after the match!!
- The physical battle was only going open way, so RL3 perused a policy of non-engagement near the end; I was fine with this and ran/passed in more TD's.

So basically, I had the luck at the start, the inducements didn't do much, and the wood elves do what wood elves do. A draw next week for the title (they've never won a league outright)

Yes, my team was marmalised. By the end (ok, turn 13) the two +MV players were sent to cower in the corner of their own endzone hoping the wardancers wouldn't come near them. 3 of the frontline players were injured in the game - a red-shirted guy was then sent in to the front line and more or less instantly killed; the +ST catcher was injured running away (but fortunately apoth'd or would have lost stats).

The game, such as it was, finished on turn two. The rest was an exercise in futility.

The Lion is going to sit in his rocking chair today and think back to the good 'ol days when the Amazons got to play against those nice friendly chaos dwarfs instead of these woodland brutes.

Against fellow ST3 teams the wood elves are fairly well set up to out-bash, it's only against st4+ and/or lots of guard that they really struggle... injuring the 2 guard players early on was fortunate for me.

If you'd protected the ball a bit better early on, whilst trying to get in my face early on it might've been different. Or if you'd got that TD at the end of the first half. The sacking ability of this team is outrageous though.

I'm afraid I can't do tonight, I have both babies to look after until gone 9. Maybe one evening next week if that's ok?

If it helps (and it means the league could all finish at the same time...) I can be flexible on Sunday with our match Rav if you want to double header it up.

I'm going to have to play my cards right to make that game too - we're away to the inlaws this weekend so I may not get home until 8 at the earliest. Sigh :)

Moose, I'm asking Wifely permission for tonight, will let you know!

No worries squire; just keep me posted. It's not like either of our games are that important to the final league standings anyways right?

Hey, it's important to my final position not being last!

And if I win both games like I clearly will I'll beat La in the final rankings.
