For those not overly familiar with the phylogenetic nomenclature of Greenskins, I will point out that three of those carcasses are Black Orcs.

WTF.

Game summary:

Ogres injure orcs aplenty. Kill one (very first action on the very first turn!), and inflict a serious injury. Hitting black orcs (st4) or normal orcs (st3), it's all the same to st5 ogres... Donkey is officially a brute now, having knocked over 10 people in his career with 5 KO's and 3 casualties.
Orcs injure snotlings aplenty. However the only serious injury was a self-inflicted death :p and another snotling getting -1 strength (no net result)  ;D In the league "best punching bag" charts, it's a tie between 4 snotlings who have all been knocked down 5 times  ;D

Finished 2-0 to orcs. The handling was epically bad... 4/13 pickups and 0/5 catches, and unsurprisingly 0 passes attempted (beyond a couple of thrown snotlings). Even with the rain, this was pretty terrible.

In terms of dice rolls, I win 77-21! The rolls were fairly even. I'm still bitter about rolling two double-ones during the game, but I did roll a fair few 6's to make up for it. Also, I lost every single kick-off roll (A recurring theme for this team). Worst thing though, was the wizard - who I spent all my inducements on - resulted in a fireball hitting 3 orcs, with a net result of NOTHING. At least my bombadier who blew himself up in an earlier game only cost 60k. That's the last time I take advice from Raveen about inducements....

Sounds like an interesting game.

Ogres are completely living up to the type, useless with the ball, but completely brutal

Orcs have the flexibility to play and score, even though they lost the physical battle heavily.

Out of interest, Is next sunday Week 3 or Week 4 for my team in the schedule?

Next week will be Week 3. So the games will be...

REDACTED

Unless I've been told that some folks can't make it :) We can always have a break week at some point to allow catchup games or arrange to play midweek if that works for people.

The most important thing is to get the matchday right in BBM as that keeps things straight(ish). It occurs to me that I might have to manually edit last night's game but that's no problem.

Everyone is on one or two games except for me; I am on three. Please can we re-organize things for next week so I am the one sitting out?

Whoever is playing the Orcs next week must be looking forwards to fighting their decreased numbers.

Ogres are completely living up to the type, useless with the ball, but completely brutal

Whilst these are both true, I don't think many games will demonstrate those two extremes quite as much as my last match. The dice rolls over-emphasized both ends of the spectrum. Saying that, I only had 3 ogres, whereas next game I will have 5... 8)

The most important thing is to get the matchday right in BBM as that keeps things straight(ish). It occurs to me that I might have to manually edit last night's game but that's no problem.

Yeah... I had no idea what matchday to put yesterday's game as, and you had already gone when I uploaded it. Hope it's not too much of an issue. Speaking of which, have all the old games gone into the overall RT BB league yet?

Hey, sorry for not showing up.

I'm not at home, and I didn't remember the forums address until now.

I’d be very happy to stick to the schedule for this week… (As I’m sure my opponent would be too…) however I’m most likely going to be away as I have a wedding to go and don’t know what time I’ll be back… Dammit.

But Sunday night… wowser. Never played with an Orc team that had the numbers reduced so much… especially the Black Orcs! When Delroy snuffed it with the very first action of the very first turn I wondered what else could go wrong… Gandalf got right luck with the block dice (he mainly rolled knockdowns with his Ogres…), Armour and then Injury rolls for almost every block he threw at the poor (well, fragile, apparently) Black Orcs… although he did get unlucky with the more simple things with the fodder snotlings (they always got skulls…) and more ‘interesting’ things – I was perversely looking forward to seeing my cage smashed up with a flying snotling…

My ball handling was terrible, but there wasn’t much I could do about – failing to pick the ball up TWICE with a Sure Hands player in open play… then failing to catch a bouncing ball with 4 different players... I also didn’t think I was going to score in the first half… I just about made it over the line with a go for it (I rolled a 2…) on the last turn of the half… 2nd half made thinking much easier for both of us as it was 8 (orcs) on 6 (3 ogres, 3 snotlings). I was determined to wipe out at least all the snotlings… 2nd TD was a nice run away from the ogres trundle down the pitch, and if my orcs had washed the Vaseline from their palms (…) then we’d have had another TD too.

I also have the frustration of sacking a player that scored twice and just levelled up…

But it was a fun game, very different to what I was expecting (I was all psyched up for Elf Bashing, and got 3 Ogres in my face instead…) but really good fun, even if the Black Orcs are all dead and broken.

Sorry for not letting you know sooner about not being available this weekend… I’m hoping to be back in time, but plan to be without me, and if I am back I can spectate.

What I'll do then is swap weeks so that we play the three other games from the week where Team Shrek and Orkly Ducklingz meet (a quick check says that this is week 6 currently) so the games will be...

Da Zoggin' Gitz vs Weird Outkasts

Cangurus vs Lager & Lime

SuchDodge vs Mighty Undercheesers

The only problem with this is that I'm the one sitting out that week so if you make it Daigoro (or Gandalf at a pinch) we can play and get ahead of the game. Not that a game's worth of development will make much difference to my Khemri :) Failed to pick up with Sure Hands twice? Luxury!

Re: the overall league matches in BBM - I've not had a chance to upload all my matches yet, I've done 3 from season 1 but it takes time to play through the replays. Everyone else can do their games at their leisure.

Hello

I am back from holiday (sorry about that though I'm sure I said somewhere) and will be around to foul sorry play the amazon infidels this Sunday!

I could also fit in a game another evening between now and next Tuesday if it would make the scheduling easier - no wife and only 1 out of 2 children for a week means every evening is free...

La, can we either play our game on Saturday or an hour or two earlier on Sunday? I'll need to leave the house about 9:30pm I think.
