I think that a Goblin 'Runner' isn't a bad idea for an orc team. They're weak, but your ball carrier won't be in contact often ideally, they don't have sure hands but you can TRR the pick up and the advantage is that they are quick and dodgy so will be able to break out for a run in TD where a thrower couldn't.
Alternatively run with a Blitzer and lob it to a Goblin in dire straits.
Either way, get the gobbo.

Re: low team value, what was left of the Everglade Wanderers had a TV of 770 after 3 matches. 2 seasons later they were dishing out 7-1 and 6-0 wins, so don't lose heart after a dodgy start!
Given you're playing a similarly under-developed Skaven team next, I would take the Goblin. You have the strength advantage anyway, and personally I don't like having only 1 of a certain sort of player. It makes your game plan risky, and they are very useful for scoring. Remember your opponent has 4 ST2 players and no-one with tackle.
It also depends on how desperately you want a Thrower. When my team started I turned down a 2nd pestigor and saved as I really wanted a 4th nurgle warrior ASAP, as they take longer to level up. I realise this counteracts some of what I said in the previous paragraph. :p I think my Nurgle Warrior will see more action than your thrower would though.

Yep, that's right Stan, like you Percy has played for numerous under performing teams (let alone getting up to naughty things off the field...) and so can help you weigh in on the Greenskin specific question.
Percy, in fact, is probably the best placed troll in the the entire RTBBL to answer this conundrum as he's played with Orcs AND Goblins. (Christ, he's giving me a very big smug grin right now).
He reckons, again, it's gonna come down to how you intend to play. The Ducklingz went for a similar roster of eliminating LineOrcs, but PirlOrc wouldnt let them hire a 2nd thrower, he couldn't understand why they'd need another they had him. Percy agrees with that plan.
He's also got to play with lots of goblin fodder' runners', and thinks they are frustrating more than anything else (you'll always expect too much of them) UNLESS they get a double or a stat upgrade. Then they become really interesting. With NJ's affiliation with Nuffle's dangly bits he'd probably get a few of the above on them gobbos if they stayed alive long enough, then they'd make the team really interesting.
I guess it also depends on how long NJ is gonna stick with this obscure Industrial-Jazz-Fusion-Nu-Folk-Techno experiment (Percy REALLY wants to go to a gig, he said he'd bring 'shrooms for everyone) - they've had a rough start, but there's plenty of time for them to develop, and who knows, maybe even an Orc-Off-Mega-Grudging in the future?
