Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
Could you play before leaving?? Although I just realised it's actually Tuesday so that's not long...
Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
Indeed it is Tuesday already. I have work to go to and prep for holiday before I go, so can't play before then.
I could sign up now and play up to 2 nights out of Thursday-Sunday next week, if that would help at all.

Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
Well I guess you'd only have to play once before next Sunday to not hold things up.
Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
Done.
Rules query, do I take his spot in the league (and thus will lose to some Lizardmen) or does everyone else go up one spot as I am the lowest-ranked in terms of catches (meaning I get to hit some elves)?
Naturally I would prefer the latter - and I believe that's probably the fairer way to do it (it sticks with the predefined rankings rule) and I think I would argue that even if it left me with a less desirable matchup. But I will go along with whatever is decided (so long as that rule is applied in similar circumstances in the future too).
As I said before, I can play Thurs/Fri/Sat. Thurs will probably be nearer 8:20pm though. Just pick a day from those and assume I can make it. I will make an effort to log on & let you know if I can't.
Finally, If I lose in the first round of the cup my Nurgle Team would be happy to play a friendly a week Sunday (which is.... semi-finals day?).

I feel that your plan is the correct way to go, Gandalf. I'll post up the schedule momentarily.
Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
Seeding order:
The Sons of the Silver Sword
The Cheeseosophers
Astrogranite Apocalypse
Saur'd of Justice
Fables!
Percy's Persistent Plan
The Pinewood Carrions
Team Shrek
Therefore the games for the first week are:
The Sons of the Silver Sword vs Team Shrek - Late result
The Cheeseosophers vs The Pinewood Carrions - Oh bugger
Astrogranite Apocalypse vs Percy's Persistent Plan - Should be a goodun
Saur'd of Justice vs Fables! - Will the dancing doggies die?
The Brewers Brawlers are on a deathroller road trip across Naggaroth.

OH DUDE
You just ruined our grudge match. Me and DO were grudging so hard. The only thing for it now is to meet in the final for a proper grudge-off.
I also sacked a thrall the other night thinking I wouldn't need 12, and now I'm not so sure.

Oooh, the grudge of the little people has been postponed until they meet in the cup! So I guess la wins...
A chance for glory here if I beat the Saur'd of Justice now!

Ah, a chance for the elves to even their score with the ogres for their week 1 bruising! Well now they've all levelled up and are so big and frightening...
... oh wait.

Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
Really, La, you have no grudge against the Carrions for obliterating you 2-0?
Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
Their coach is more experienced at any rate. Plus it ended in a draw that time so who knows how it's going to turn out this time? Let me know what day works best for you as per my previous post.
A reminder of extra time rules, for those who don't know/have forgotten....
If the scores are level at the end of 16 turns, then an additional 4 turns are played. However you don't kick off again, you just carry straight on into turn 17 at the end of turn 16. The turn counter in the top right will be showing 17/20. If, at the end of turn 20, scores are still level, then another 4 turns are added onto the turn counter, and so on until a team is winning at the end of the extra 4 turns.

The fact that I had to think really hard to remember if that even happened (and considered looking back through the season thread, but I have stuff to do) shows the strength of my extreme grudge.
I imagine the lads were too busy finishing 2nd in the league in their rookie season to remember.
Re: RT BBL S5 - The Chanelf Receivers Cup
ok the cup is started and seeded. And if you thought the Blood Bowl UI was poor before, just try the seeding manager, it's insane. I have no idea what'll happen in round 2 I've rigged it so that the games are in exactly the order I posted them in.
