I was reading this thread yelling "WARDANCER!!!!" so I'm glad someone picked her. Is there a better ST3 player out of the box?

Not out the box, no. They are a bit expensive though and only AV7, but still.

The only players to come close IMO are the Werewolf and one other that hasn't been picked yet :)

I think I know who you mean, but I stand by my choice. The werewolf doesn't even start with Block! I guess he is nice and quick though. Anyway.

Huh, I thought Werewolfs were ST4. Well there's something new learnt today.

Werewolfs & Wardancers are the joint most expensive ST3 players in the game. Having looked at their stats & initial skills, I would still take the wardancer out of the two. +AG, -AV, and blodge out of the box beats frenzy/claw imo.

In honor of Leroy, and ignoring how fragile they all seem to be for PirlOrc's lot, I'm going to go with a Black Orc Blocker

Sorry chaps, I missed Daigoro's pick.

I'm going to take the Saurus as an affordable and quick blocker.

Oh and with regards to progression, if we ever play these teams I would suggest that we do the tournament standard and give them 6 normal skills or 4 normals and 1 double, or 2 normals and 2 doubles (over the team, not per player). Add in three rerolls and an apoth per team.

At risk of picking a blocker without Block I'm going to go for the Flesh Golem. Strength 4, Stand Firm. It's just going to keep getting back up and in your way. Seems ideal when my big guy is going to be blitzing.

I thought you might go for the Golem. He's a quality piece but a bit expensive to start without Block IMO.

And I'll take the Standard "Pro" Elf thrower. If I'm going to resort to elf balling go with the expert race, AG4 is more use long term, and he's relatively inexpensive.

I can't be bothered to look for a LRB and hunt down prices, so I'm just winging it with regards to cost.

Throwers I don't have a lot of experience with. Because I can't bring myself to go with an actual elf, I'm going to go with a thrower who is still fast, but has access to mutations (a kind of cheating more in keeping with the game, rather than just cheating by being an elf) - the Skaven Thrower (sorry la).

You're the most expensive so far Id3, just so you know.

For a thrower... this is a tricky one, there are 3 options that really tempt me but I think the High Elf thrower, being the best in the business, has to be the one.

I was almost sick in my mouth then, but then I saw sense and didn't pick an elf.

I'll take an Underworld Thrower

I was gonna be right radged at you, DO (and not you, Id3, the skaven thrower's just not as good as a ballcarrier, which is what the underworld thrower does for me), but then I was overcome with joy that you had seen the light.

I think I'm just going to pick the wood elf thrower, since he is cheap and fast enough to keep up.
