Week 2 results

Notjarvis was better late than never and got 4/4. Rav got 3, dai and new entrant RL3 got 2, I got 1 and la, having got joint most last week predicted 4 draws out of 4 but we are still waiting for the first draw of the season.

Week 2 standings
6 = Raveen
5 = notjarvis
3 = la, gandalf
2 = Daigaro, RL3 (1 week missed)

Last season's league & cup champions are leading the prediction's league, as well as winning all 3 of the games they have played in the league. As they aren't playing until week 7 this could go on a long time... though the dwarves have had, on paper, their two easiest fixtures of the season already. (See how I set up the week 3 predictions already?!)

Here's a template/synopsis for you...

Khorne - Orcs - cripple fight! The two most injured teams in the league! Lots of Loners here...
Nurgle - Lizards - both teams have strong & weak players.
Vampire - Amazons - how much havok will the vampire with Tackle cause? Can RL3 manage to pass more than one third of his dodge rolls this time?
Humans - Skaven - Without much in the way of tackle skills, can the gutter runners be stopped?

Heehee my real predictions were the bolded teams but I was also in a bit of a non-committal draw-predicting silly mood.

Okay, so:

Khorne - Orcs – Orcs.
I think the Orcs will have too many skills, but also get some inducements, which is a mean combination. It can’t go as poorly as last week for Khorne though, surely.

Nurgle - Lizards – Nurgle.
The Nurgle coach is many times more experienced than the Lizard coach.

Vampire - Amazons – Draw.
Well, I have to back myself eventually don’t I. However, I don’t realistically think I can win against a team that is very hard to knock over and will be getting a lot of inducements. That said, the deciding factor will probably be how many ones Aristotle rolls.

Humans – Skaven – Skaven.
The Skaven are going to score, and they’re also going to leave the pitch. The humans should score, and they should stay on the pitch. The Skaven will also get inducements against the league leaders.

Club 27 vs E.L.O. - ELO have too many players down to play the strength card and the big bastard is ideally suited to killing the ones that remain. Still, you can't discount the Orcs inbuilt quality - 1-1.

It's A Sign vs Gojira's Army - As La says, the coaches come into the equation here. On paper I'd call it for the Lizards but Gandalf is likely to balance out any differential on the pitch and then some - 2-0 to the Nurgle.

Cheeseosophers vs Brave Harts - A fascinating match this one. Neither team is going to engage too hard and the Amazons don't have the Strength skills yet to threaten the thralls so I think the circumstances favour the Vamps - 2-0 to the Cheese

Isa Black Stars vs 13th Doomwheel - This is the hardest to call of the week. I think that Abom has enough knowledge to take the game to Daigoro experience is less of an issue here. The rats will score fast and often and I don't see the humans keeping up. Also that helps my title challenge. 3-1 to the Skaven.

Percy is pissed. He just wrote one hell of an in depth prediction, then the browser decided to delete it.

Well done browser.

In brief:

Orcs to win because it's NJ, Dalf to win because he's played it more, La to win because he surely cant have a 4th bad game on the bounce and the rats to win because of gutter runners.

Percy is going back outside where computers aren't stupid.

Orcs to lose because they are currently crippled, and Khorne still have two strength 4 monsters, so will be at least equal in strength.
Nurgle To Win because Experience and all that presence will make Handoffs difficult for the lizards.
Vampires are due a win - so they will.
Skaven for a début win (they ran Rav. close last week, and it's really difficult to stop them scoring without Tackle.....)

Tough choices this week.

Khorne - Orcs - the two teams who have been Nurgled! As it stand, there will be 7 Loners on the pitch in this match. Sorry guys! 8) Orcs are actually less crippled, but also less-skilled. With the expected 250k inducements though I will give them the win. 1-0.
Nurgle - Lizards - have to agree with everyone else and put me to win this one. My really high injury inflicted rate has got to slow down though, hasn't it? I haven't even got any MB! I've just hired a 2nd pestigor so I think my line-up is complete now (Beast, 4 warrirors, 2 pestigors and the rest rotters). He helps me to a 2-0 win
Vampire - Amazons - Archimides is on course to overtake Ernie as the most experienced player in the league. Unless he does something stupid, like block a goblin. Both teams are due a win and have had their fair share of bad dice so far, so I will sit on the fence and say no-one will get it. 1-1.
Humans - Skaven - This human team are performing really well so far. I say they will keep it up in an entertaining 2-1 encounter.

One game has been postponed this week (to be played in 2 weeks time, the catch-up week). For the purposes of the predictions league it seems fair people can re-predict that before it happens, but if you don't I'll just take the predictions just posted.

Week 3 results

With just the 3 matches happening, no-one predicting a human-skaven draw and everyone predicting a nurgle win, the only differences this week were whether you predicted a Khorne win or not. notj and RL3 did, and the other 4 didn't.

Week 3 standings
7 = Raveen, notjarvis
4 = la, gandalf, RL3 (1 week missed)
3 = Daigaro

The top 2 have a clear lead now, well done to RL3 though who despite entering late is now joint 3rd. Here's your copy & paste list of next week's fixtures... (I'll leave the game descriptions for Rav to do)

Vampires - Orcs
Humans - Khorne
CDwarves - Lizards
Skaven - Amazon

Fixed. Sorry, I find the world a confusing place when notjarvis loses, it's against the natural order of things :p

Fair point.

Although I'd like to point out I don't predict these matches, it's like witchcraft, wouldn't touch the stuff.

Percy on the other hand, he loves it.

Orcs to Lose. I still think the Vamps are one of the favourites this season. They completely destroyed my Norse in the Off-season, and have an awesome array of skills to call on. I'm expecting a similar treatment here (my only real chance is that la has a mare with the dice I think).

Khorne quite out-strengthed the Orcs on sunday. The two ST4 players make the difference I think, and they will go far. Khorne win

Urrggh. The Lizards have had quite the start to their season. Now they face the team with the most tackle, I can't see past a Dwarf win.

Skaven are providing a good challenge for teams I think, And I suspect they may win versus the Amazon.

Winners
Vampires
Khorne
Chaos Dwarfs
Skaven

Cheeseosophers vs E.L.O.
Calling this one for the Vamps, although they've not had a total meltdown yet so maybe the orc will turn it around. 2-0 to the pointy toothed bastards

Isa Black Stars vs Club 27
You've got to fancy Shiney Demon to carry his team through. 2-1 to the Khorne.

Azorgh Rock-Knockers vs Gojira's Army
I'm hoping for a big win here in order to claim my rightful spot at the top of the leader board. 3-0 to the Rock-Knockers and to hell with the consequences.

13th Doomwheel vs Brave Harts
Hardest game to call this week. Both teams are looking solid even if I did beat them. I'm going to go with the Skaven because they play the fast game better and the Amazons aren't well developed for the bash game yet. 2-1 to the Skaven.

Cheeseosophers vs E.L.O.
Percy can't see Nuffle abandoning his favorite son for a 2nd week. 6-0 to the Orcs with three TTMs completed.

Isa Black Stars vs Club 27
Percy seems to recall something about a Geologist's derby and that big horrible wing thing spending both friendly matches crying off the pitch. Still, after Percy reminded the Club this morning that he has ANOTHER ST5 blitzer his team (thanks Percy) then perhaps the Club will do more than just tickle this time round. 5-4 to the Club.

Azorgh Rock-Knockers vs Gojira's Army
In an unprecedented (Percy had to google that) turn of events both Bull Centaurs get hit with rocks hurled by Gojira himself and skinks score with passes. 6-3 to the reptiles.

13th Doomwheel vs Brave Harts
Percy hasn't got the foggiest. Even PERVs didnt really help - but if he HAS to pick he'll probably give the edge to the ladies as they were so nice to the Convicts last time he saw them play. 4-4 draw.
