RT BBL Season 8

I'd been considering themed side competition cups for a while, small scale things unrelated to the main league/cup schedule. That could be a place to try out a best of 3 thing. Themed in the team sense. Only real idea I had though was Pub (no skill ag3 linemen only), Amateur (no rerolls), Stunty (and preferably all 3 for maximum fun).

Any interest for a 4 teamed Stunty Amateur Pub team Cup?

I'll add it to the first post too.

As for a additional cup points etc, I'm fine with it provided we come up with a bullet proof way to have winners. We have to seed cups ourself anyway, so we might as well seed it however we like.

I'd be up for stunty fun. For 4 teams you could include skinks + Krox.

No, we are not changing the rules now I've had the carpet pulled from under my feet at the best chance the Ducklingz had at winning anything.

You all voted against change; now stick with it and put up the horrible, dull, consequences.

Pub Stunty League - I like the idea of the stunty league; but I think in practice when it's stunty against stunty I probably wouldnt have much fun... Amatuer teams sound like fun too.

I tried to get a midweek league going (last year?) but there wasn't much interest. I'm still up for some form of semi-organized non-Sunday league.

Well, yes La, but a stunty league would be kinda like a level playing field; and I would probably fail at this, I need excuses.

And yes, it would be dull without Gerty to murder things.

Righto; we'll put the link in once G has fixed his database; and the BBM fella still hasnt paid his bills... so we have bugger all to look at.

But Red Lion will allowed we're totally allowed to cliche call this a game of two halves.

First half RL receives, batters Black Orcs and makes the most of the fantastic tactic of gently throwing bombs to Percy; who happily catches them to take out himself and two of his Black Orc chums.

TWICE.

RL zig-zagged down the pitch in a cage blitzing away merrily with Morg; until he zig zagged once too much; failed a dodge (or something) and left the back of his cage open... Harriet loves open doors and kicked the ball carrier in the bottom to get the ball free; Leroy (now over his bomb-induced lie down) got ready to be smacked in the face by Morg while Gertie went on a murdering rampage in RL's backfield; completing a hat-trick of goblin death by having a lie down on Bomber Dribblesnot.

Then it all started going even more wrong for RL when Morg decided he wanted to try some dodging; and then stunned his face into the floor for a few turns while Harriet picked up the ball and buggered off into the now goblin-free Underworld half. Harriet got wizarded but Gerty was there to take the loose ball over the line to hog all the SPPs.

Then 2nd half PilrOrc ordered the lads to be proper kill joys; IbrahimavOrc got the ball and sat in a cage for 8 turns - we weren't really that bothered about scoring; and if it was on the tele you'd probably have turned it off a long time before the end and would've missed... bugger all.

But Gerty got some more killing done, and now she's level 6. Crikey.
