Stick with it. You're gong to get kerb stomped to start with no matter what race you use and orcs have a pretty good starting lineup. If you get too damaged you can always restart.

I lowered all the graphics settings, and now my mouse and keyboard react smoothly in-game.

Also, this game brings out the competitive side in me. I'm trying to tone it down.

Also, this game brings out the competitive side in me. I'm trying to tone it down. 

Can't say I've noticed anything overly-competitive from you in our games anyway. There is something slightly odd about playing *against* my squadmates when I'm used to playing with them, but all the games I've played have been played in a fun spirit, with both players admiring and being amused at what befalls the other player, so in a way it feels like I am playing alongside my fellow RT's.
