I'm not sure it's clear yet though. Does anyone else want to chime in?

By the way, you can push people out of the end zones too - just make sure you're not pushing them into the end zone with the ball ;)

I'm on holiday for my games against Raveen and Daigaro.

Does anyone object if I can manage to fit them in early before I go?

I wouldn't object - I don't fancy having three weeks off...

But in that case I'll be available fro friendlies - I've rolled up a Chaos team (without Chaos Warriors) I'd like to try out a bit to try and satisfy my cravings for a team with mutations.

Pre-game: Not much value difference to start to Lizards took an extra babe and couldn’t afford anything else after spending all their gold on their new player Destroyah.

Story: The lizards had faced many strange peoples since their Slan master had told them that to fulfil the ancients plan ( and to provide entertainment for the slan as they sat around) they must leave Lustria and play bloodblowl. The first Team had been quite familiar humans, they had frequently come seeking gold in lustrias jungles and left with nothing but poison arrows. Then the Vampires like humans only with less blood. Then the Great enemy had come the nurgle (and their insidious followers in the crowd). But this rounds opponents were highly unusual some like little humans only with more hair and shorter, other lanky greenskins and most unusual of all a cross between pony and man dwarf thing, all with the unmistakable taint of chaos. The lizards had little chance but they knew after 3 defeats they must win for the great plan to succeed.

First half: lizards walked onto the pitch and nervously look at the crowd, after last week’s furious crowd the lizards knew a rock could come from any angle. After a quick prayer to the old ones the lizards won the toss and chose receive. Thus begin the skinks dodge marathon constantly running through areas that should have seen them killed at turn 4 a plucky skink makes it through to score. Only for the chaos dwarf centaur to smash his way through the lizard line to equalise in 2 turns making it 1 a piece at half time.

Second half: Now wary of the Centaurs power the lizards kick off and place the ball close to the line. a bit of back and forth occurs but after another amazing set of dodges the skink makes it through with the ball and runs it up the side to make it 2-1. With only a turn left and one centaur, after some respect was shown by a skink to the other. The lizards kick off to the opposite end from the centaur meaning no chance of a comeback. After a few friendly punches are thrown to end the match. the lizards have their first victory.

Post-game: with only 30k given the lizards get greedy and attempt to re- roll for more and nuffle removes his favour giving them only 20k,

Summary: The dodge gods were kind to the skinks, That was the one factor that really allowed me to win, combined a couple of unlucky fumbled passes for the dwarfs secured victory for the cold blooded ones. I’m sure my more experienced opponent will have a more in depth analysis Apologies if this lacks the usual in-depth analysis I’m new to this and did not expect to be writing anything until next season at least.

Thanks everyone - I think I understand. The three scenarios look like this:

In each case dark pink pentagon blocks red circle. The available push directions are either off the pitch or covered by the light pink pentagon.

I think the report can be as in-depth or not as you like, I'm not sure there are any particular rules about it :)

Hehe grats Moose.

Also - RL3, yes, they do, nice one.

Dice etc.
BBM didn't show it was that uneven, but the vampires only bloodlusted half as much as they should have, and so the team didn't fall to bits - even when it looked possible having lost 2 thralls and a vampire by turn two. But everything seemed to go right for me, apart from the double one dodge after stealing the ball in the first half (and the 2 players off in the first two turns). NJ did get some skulls at bad points mind, and after rerolls I don't think I didn't succeed a blitz on the ballcarrier.

I saw it as a little more more uneven than that, A plus 7 swing to the Vampires on the D6 is pretty big, and though the block dice overall were even I got skulls/Both down at the wrong time.
As I pointed out in the Prediction thread I needed poor dice on the other side. Not one Vamp Bloodlusted off the pitch (and when they did fail (1 in every 13 times) they invariably were in a good enough position to do their task before eating a thrall (which was probably good positioning on La's part to be fair).

Still I needed it to be more uneven the other way though. With the luck being even I might of only lost 2-0 or even 2-1 :-)

LA is a good player, and made few mistakes, whilst I made lots of mistakes. I missed how easy it is to dodge around the pitch with AG4 or 5 Vamps with dodge for one, (although I've no real idea how I could have stopped them better, they are too tough to batter into the dirt, and I've no skills to stop them moving). More than Once I thought I had a player away, only for a Vampire to dodge around to Blitz the ball carrier.

They are truly an awesome presence on the pitch, and barring some catastrophic Luck I still think the Vamps are one of the favourites to be at the top.

I believe Me and Rav are programmed to play on AUG 9th when we are both away. i have no problem with playing my next defeat next Sunday if Rav is free too.

Impressive match reports from all :)

re: fixtures, as mentioned in the pre-season thread I'm not here on the 16th August.... when I should be playing la.... think some medium-scale rearrangement of the fixtures is needed.

I saw it as a little more more uneven than that, A plus 7 swing to the Vampires on the D6 is pretty big, and though the block dice overall were even I got skulls/Both down at the wrong time.

I did some work on how D6 chance relates to win/lose chance, I'll have to dig it up. There's quite a decent correlation though - even if you ignore 2D6 and block dice - from memory a difference of 7 will mean a loss in >50% of cases (excluding cases of playing Goblin/Halfling/Ogres, and excluding matches where one team has very small number of D6 rolls, eg most Khemri matches).

Percy doesn't know how to post a link to it, but he would if he could.

It was a good review.

Stupid wizard. I didn't want to use it in the end, so I right clicked on the edge of the field in the hope that it would go away and what happens? The wizard throws a fireball at the sideline, singing a lot of grass.

I was getting a bit cross by turn six really, but I had a little snack and saw a hole in Daigaro's screen which cheered me up. I probably could have got an extra tackle zone on the ball if that block hadn't gone tits up which would have made scoring just that bit harder.

And yes, I should have been more conservative once I got the ball, but I was swinging right up out of the Hanger and decided I might as well go all in to try and get the win. What could go wrong? Double skulls apparently...

Still, I was as pleased the loss as one can be, splattering the humans about was fun. And I only lost because I was trying to win too hard, which felt better than a mediocre draw at the time.

Hey, RL - any chance you are about tonight?

If the children are both alright then my wife is out and I could play, and that way I could play daigaro on Sunday and not be too behind due to holiday.

(potentially could do one of the other evenings this week, but not sure yet)

La - yes, tonight would be fine. What time would be best for you? (i.e. I expect to be in all evening so please choose whatever time suits you best.)
