You've got six blodgers, so my advice as an ex-Amazon coach would be to get up in those Thralls faces. Try and stick to Columns 101 and hoepfully he'll spend so much time pushing your girls around that he won't be able to get thralls where he needs them, preventing the Vampires from doing their thing. If you can occupy enough thralls with good assisted base contact his Vampires will eventually gobble themselves off the pitch. Beware of gaze though, so try and keep at two players between his Vampires and your ball carrier. And in lieu of tackle, just force your opponent to dodge a lot.

Percy's Insta-Predictions:

Vamps (League favourites) 3 Pretty Ladies with muscles 0.
Snow White's Least Favourites 2 (2nd League Favourites) Nuffle's not-currently-favourite-probably-forgot-to-make-him-a-cup-tea Son 1.

And, if the Black Stars play the Cheesepongers this weekend then the Cheesepongers will win. Convincingly.

Brrrrap.

Oh you want me to actually predict? Straight up and down, as they say? Ah. Hmm. I'm due a self-destructing vampire match: 2-1 to the Amazon.

Dwarves probably have the edge vs the Orcs. But the goblin throwing can't go so badly wrong again: 2-1 to the Orcs.

Me and Daigaro might get our match in on Sunday. He's basically got 11 players with Guard: 2-1 to the Humans.

Pretty good advice, generally speaking. Much better than Daigaro's mindgames.

Thanks id; I'll try and use that strategy in the game.

Or will I?

(Er, yes, I will. But I don't want La to think he has the whole plan before the match. Though, er, he does. Oh dear.)

Percy Philosophises on the Philosophers:

If a Vamp can't eat a thrall off he'll have to eat himself off, and that probably won't lead to a happy ending for the Vampires

The Cheesepongers have 4 of the best players ever known to RTBBL. The Black Stars are rookie convicts and miners from North West Queensland. The Pongers are clearly the favourites, and it would rather silly to say otherwise.

So this week it's:

Cheeseosophers vs Brave Harts - Already happened but can we all assume I called a Vampire win?

Azorgh Rock-Knockers vs E.L.O. - Tricky one this. My team is probably the favourite but I don't fancy this matchup much. Last week showed how poorly Dwarfs cope with St 4 at the moment although the Centaurs are getting better week by week. E.L.O to win 2-1

Cheeseosophers vs Isa Black Stars - Another close to call match. I think I'll go for the hoomans this time, the BLoodlust dice must start to go bad at some point and Daigoro's built an excellent lineup. 2-0 to the Hoomins.

I could just throw this match to get ahead of Rav in the prediction League. Then at least I'll be winning something this season ^-^ :)

Azorgh Rock-Knockers vs E.L.O. - Tough to call so I'll wimp out and call a draw.

Cheeseosophers vs Isa Black Stars - Humans to win, Vampires to fail more bloodlusts than recently.

Will do an update on standings after the weekend, covering these games & the Vampire - Amazon game from earlier in the week.

Azorgh Rock-Knockers vs E.L.O. - 2-0 Chaos. The centaurs are fast, and the dwarves difficult to get past.

Cheeseosophers vs Isa Black Stars - 2-2. I reckon no-one else will go with that...

Week 4.5
Is this was a bit of a hodge-podge week, I had to comb the forum a bit, and this is who I think everyone predicted to win the Vampire-Amazon, Orc-CDwarf and Vampire-Human matches respectively... shout if you disagree. The winners were Vampire, Orc, Vampire.

La... amazon (or a draw? it doesn't matter anyway), orcs, humans = 1
Percy... Vampires, CDwarves, vampires = 2
Rav... Vampires, orc, humans = 2
Gandalf.... draw, draw, humans = 0
RL3.... Amazons, dwarves, draw = 0
notj... vampires, dwarves, no prediction made = 1

So... notj's apparent slip-up has helped give Rav the overall lead. My bad week has put the top 2 clear again, but performance of the week is probably Percy who has gone from last place on his own, to joint 3rd.

Standings

10 = Raveen
9 = notjarvis
7 = Gandalf, la, Percy
6 = RL3 (1 week missed)

I was just looking at the table, and thought I might write a very quick and light mid-season review.

Image

Halfway through the season and The Vampires and Humans have a commanding lead at the top of the table, but the recent defeat in their top of the table match up will have hurt the humans badly. Both teams have played 5 matches which is more than anyone else too, which leaves space for the chasers to cut down on the gap.....

Midtable is congested with 4 Teams on 6 points, but the Nurgle boys, errm creatures, will surely plan to cut down the gap with their extra game in hand.
The Khorne team have looked Awesome at times this season, but have suffered two defeats, whilst the Chaos Dwarfs after starting the season well have suffered consecutive defeats to the unfancied Lizards, and to the wounded Orcs, but both have plenty of talent to pick themselves back up

And the 10 man skint Orc team, make up the quartet

Below them in the bottom three places are the Lizards, whose stunning victory against the Chaos Dwarfs was enough to bring them up to third from bottom, closely followed by the Skaven, who will be looking to race past them with their game in hand and two draws.

Last, but surely not least are the lovely Amazon ladies looking to dodge up the table in the coming weeks.

Seems fair enough. It is all bunched up in the middle. Bizarrely my championship chances seem to have increased whilst not playing! It seems unlikely that the winner will drop more than 6 points, but 2 seasons ago it was more than that I think, so don't give up hope people.

Week 5 starts a long run of 3 games a week - we may not see 4 games in a week until the season end (as stated several times I am unlikely to do week 8 but Rav has gone and nicked the catchup week spot with the Vampires...)

Amazons - Orcs
Lizards - Khorne
Nurgle - Skaven
