RT BBL S5 - Final Week - 10th May

Re: RT BBL S5 - League Day 4ish 7th Mar
Next week is supposed to be a catch up week. Would anyone mind swapping it to the following week and playing week 5 next week? I'm off to a stag do that weekend so will theoretically be available but not in a right state of mind.

Wait you're playing me next. I think you should be made to play during the stag do.
Re: RT BBL S5 - League Day 4ish 7th Mar
The Lizards beat the Ogres 4-0

Lizards had edge with the dice throughout. Ogres received first but were stalled by Boneheads (especially when the ball carrier boneheaded) and poor luck with block dice, (all three times they received to be honest).
The Lizards managed to capitalise on the Ogres poor luck and score TDs using their pace, and having more success with the dice.
If I get time - will do a fuller match report later.

Re: RT BBL S5 - League Day 4ish 7th Mar
I can't really remember the whole game to do a match report so here's some thoughts on some aspects of the game and the dice (sorry for those who are bored by such things but the ogres roll hundreds of them every game).
I failed 24% of my boneheads, versus an expected 16.6%, very hard to do much with that. Ogres suffer more than most from bad dice.
The block luck was quite silly too - it looked like the big strong ogre team were going to end the game with a scarcely believable 0 KO's and 0 injuries caused, until on the very last turn my 4-man team injured 2 players on the last turn, which was nice for the SPP. A combination of bonehead failures, below average block dice and strong Saurus armour caused this (I did injure a saurus with a foul from a snotling earlier in the game, though). Generally in the hitting battle, the ogres suffered against a team with a lot of block, as they usually do.
I did however manage a pass, which was great, a nice long one too! The snotling then could've then run most of the way to the TD zone, if I had any time left (doh). That would've made it more difficult for the lizardmen to stop the TD, but as it was 3 lizards chased down the snotling and killed him!! I may have trouble encouraging other snotlings to catch the ball after that. :p It was nice for at least 1 thing to go right for me, and the death was amusing too (it's basically a snotling's purpose in life).
Credit to notj though, he made the most of my bad rolls, and forced me to have to make some of them when I would rather not have done (eg, some AG3 dodges). He also went after the snotlings first (a lot easier with block), though he also managed to kill my ogre with block on T3, which I thankfully re-rolled into a "miss next match". I feel like his team is becoming quite dangerous now, with lots of block on the saurses and a variety of annoying skills on the skinks.

Whilst I don't have an issue with this, it seems to me that given you are due to play both weeks, the final situation after the two weeks will still be the same - you will still either have to play on the weekend of your stag do, or be a game behind.

My bad, I forgot to update the spreadsheet. I've caught up my game with Spinx.
Re: RT BBL S5 - League Day 4ish 7th Mar
In that case, can Spinx and I play on the catchup week instead? Also, did you upload our game Rav? It looks like you did.
Re: RT BBL S5 - League Day 5 14th Mar
Well, Jim, we're almost halfway through the league and the Lizardmen, Saur'd of Justice have taken an early and controlling lead and have to be the favourites at this stage.
That's right, Bob, but we'll see how things stand after this week's games. Firstly we have the rookie High Elven outfit The Sons of the Silver Sword who will be looking to dance, pass and score against Fables!. Of course, Fables! are no strangers to pulling on a leotard and expressing themselves through the medium of dance so may be able to stop the Sons before they get started.
Our second game is undead all around as the crumbling Cheeseosophers come up against the crumbled Pinewood Carrions. The Carrions were hotly tipped this season but haven't got the results they wanted. Still, with a game in hand they have time to make the ground up.
In a match that may very well spill out into full on warfare it's The Brewers Brawlers versus Percy's Persistent Plan. Dwarves and Goblins mix like Dragons and thatched cottages so the referees guild is looking for volunteers to officiate, describing the opportunity as the chance of a greatly foreshortened lifetime.
Finally it's the mutated chaos of Astrogranite Apocalypse against the tactical chaos of Team Shrek. The Apocalypse missed last week's games and so may be unaware that the Snotlings on Team Shrek have decided to unionise and are threatening to strike if anyone gives them the ball ever again.
It should be another fascinating week in the RT BBL!

MIDWEEK IDIOCY!!

For Percy's Lot anyway.
It's 1-1, Brown Roll Rim is one square away from the endzone... and decides to stand about for a bit to get twatted in the face by a Horny 60's footballer; the crowd love it so much they chuck the ball right to the feet of another 60's footballing pervert on the opposite side of the pitch, who picks it up, chucks it to ANOTHER 60's round-ball-lover who skipped (like he should be playing for Feebles!...) in to score.
It didn't help that Percy skimped on the Mushrooms to Nuffle too... his ladz getting the rough end of the stem and Astrogranite getting all the love of Nuffle's warm bosom.
Percy has a LOT of making up to do with Nuffle if he's gonna get through next week's game with the worst filth known to Goblinkind...
Good game Wyld, you splatted goblins spiffingly well.

Re: RT BBL S5 - League Day 5 14th Mar
The Apocalypse are bloated and there's no denying it. Too many beastmen with skills leaves me short on expendable chaff, and yet again Morg N' Thorg showed up for the opposition. We suspect he has a grudge against the minotaur George Beast. Still, a skilled up chaos team vs Goblins was always going to be splattery, even with two trolls and the legendary Ettin providing muscle. Problems during setup meant that the Percys fielded all their secret weapons in the first drive, which left them very short on dirty tricks for the rest of the match. While the gobboes were as slippery and hard to catch as ever, the RNG giveth to the apocalypse this week so that when the li'l green bastards were caught they tended to get crumped.

Impending absence alert!
I think me, Daigaro, and Id3 might not be able to play on the 28th.
