[quote="Raveen"]
Exiled from the Dark Elf homeland of Naggaroth for acts of wanton cruelty even by the horriffic standards of that cold place, the Elucidated Brethren of Khaine made a perilous voyage to the Old World. On arrival they met the Blood Bowl promoter Bernard Ecclescakes who recognised that the cruelty of the Brethren was perfect family viewing on the Blood Bowl pitch. The Brethren for their part saw an opportunity to top even the darkest acts performed in their homeland.

The Brethren promptly changed their name to the Witch Gate Wanderers and took to the field against a team of touring goblins. None of the goblins has been seen again but in subsequent appearances the Wanderers have appeared in stylist green leather armour.

Sorry, I thought this was the fluff thread.

I deleted it... Can you start it again and copy paste your post?

Good chat there Raveen! Do we need to have a separate fluff thread?

I've applied to join the league with my chaos team,  "The Weird Outkasts",  and (probably rather presumptuously) created my own fluff thread.

The Treeman Bee-Tiered always felt like he was out of place, almost as if he had been placed in a different universe to the one he was supposed to be in. Bashing Orcs, talking to trees, it was all well and good, but still, something didn't seem quite right. So together with some of his Wood-Elf friends, he left the forest of Athel Loren in search of some meaning in life. Perhaps this game known as Blood Bowl would provide it to him, not that he knew much about it other than there would be the chance to hit some orcs, which suited him just fine.

After an hour of setting up, we were finally all good to go, Idan's humans against my Wood Elves.

Idan received the ball. Some punching happened, my players got hurt. He struck downfield, then failed a hand-off. In came a wood-elf who picked the ball up from in front of 3 people (5+), dodged out, GFIx2 and passed it out wide to a guy who ran into an unassailable position. I passed it over the line for lolz and SPP and took a 1-0 lead on turn 5.

Next up, Idan received the ball. Some punching happened, my players got hurt. I foolishly thought he couldn't score before the end of the half, but he could - thanks to a lucky long throw/catch. 1-1. I had one turn before half time, in which I tried to hit some players but rolled attacker down/both down (my block player vs. his block player) then rolled the same again but this time my guy didn't have a block and promptly injured himself.

Second half started with 7 or 8 wood elves. I received the ball. Failed passes on turns 9, 10 and 11. Some punching happened, my players got hurt. Idan picked the ball up. Some punching happened, my players got hurt. He scored.

My kick-off again, with 6 elves standing. Idan graciously put himself in harm's way and I finally managed to injure one of his players! Elves failed to pass the ball again. Idan picked the ball up and scored.

End game - 3-1.
6 elves injured - 3 miss next game. I only had 2 elves KO'ed the whole game.  :o

Gandalf had the most unlucky game I've seen... In the last turn he only had 4 players on the field.

btw, we started a new league, because there was no option to change the cup into an open league.

I had already changed the first post :D All important info will, theoretically, be there.

That's two super unlucky games I've had in a row, both against Idan :p Still, the TD I did score was hilarious, and stopped it being a totally unfulfilling game. Also, my leaping wardancer was fun, and he didn't get injured.  :D

Let's face it, journeyman wood elves are still better than pretty much any other lineman :)

Gandy, maybe instead of crossing the games, you could add the results next to them?

Well it's more to track what is left to play, as who won & when can be found in-game. However it's not much extra work to put them in here so I might as well. It can let non-participants keep track as well I suppose.

I had the pleasure of fighting LtSpinx!

Game ended 1-1, but By the end of the game I had 1 lineman knocked out,  1 dead lineman, 1 badly hurt blitzer, 1 blitzer with -1 strength who's missing next game, and another blitzer just missing the next game. So in the next game I'm going to get 3 journeyman, to replace my lineman and two blitzers.

I'll now wait before all of you finish at least one game before I play any further... :-)

Any skill ups yet?

Also, can anyone find the league ID? If so I have a bit of a treat in store ;)
