Websites and Forums

Talk Fantasy Football - http://www.talkfantasyfootball.org/ - Mainly for tabletop, this is a great place for all Blood Bowl talk and tactics.

BB Tactics - http://bbtactics.com/ - Phenomenally useful resource and excellent forums too. A bit like TFF with less drama.

BB League - http://forum.bbleague.org/index.php?pag ... styleid=11 - The home of BB Manager, our stats tracking software.

Blood Bowl Game - http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/ - Official site for the PC games with forums. Particularly helpful for technical issues.

Plasmoid's Blood Bowl Site - http://plasmoids.dk/bbowl/Bloodbowl.htm - Blood Bowl Playbooks amongst other stuff.

Podcasts

3 Die Block - http://threedieblock.libsyn.com/ - Chance and Drew talk tactics, team builds etc. Some ropey advice in the early episodes but solid enough by their 2.0 series. The 3.0 series focuses more on resurection tournaments.

Zlurpcast - http://zlurpcast.com/ - Another tournament focussed cast. Very sweary.

Both Down - http://bothdown.com/ - Fluff oriented podcast hosted by Steve and Scott. Rambling style but fun. If you like the fluff in the RTBBL check them out. Also interesting for their reports of driving across country to go to tournaments.

Pitch Invasion - http://www.pitchinvasion.ca/ - Tim and Matt discuss themes rather than specific teams. An excellent discussion although annoying audio issues (IMO :) ).

Orca-Cola-Cast - http://orcacolacast.libsyn.com/ - A French Canadian and a Finn host a podcast concentrating on the PC version of the game, particularly the large Orca-Cola Cup. Tends to be an accent pot pourri with solid advice.

The Siggy Llama Show - http://siggyllama.podbean.com/ - I find this one to be... odd. Not quite my cup of tea and yet strangely compelling none the less.

Bacon Wrapped Skulls and Ones - http://baconwrappedskullsandones.libsyn.com/ - A new one this and I really like it. The two guys are clearly enthusiastic and positive about Blood Bowl. Seems to be mostly focussed on tournaments.

The NAFCast - http://officialnaf.libsyn.com/ - I've not had a chance to listen to this one yet. As it's a NAF podcast I assume it'll be mostly tournament focussed.

Living Rule Book 6 - http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/files/BB_LRB6.pdf - The actual rules of the board game which are theoretically replicated by the PC game. Sometimes called the Competition Rules Pack because of Drama.

Kick Off Simulator - http://www.elisanet.fi/larry/Kickoff-simulator/ - Where will the ball end up? Find out here!

I got sick of working out how unlucky I have been in every game.

So I made a calculator to work it out for me!

http://gandalfgames.net/bloodbowl.php

I don't think it does it down to perfect accuracy - for example I tried out my season 1 game of pain vs notj where I rolled a stupid number of 1's - this calculator says 0.755% chance whereas according to what i posted on the forum it was 0.77%. This suggests my maths in the calculator is correct but that it's not rounding things properly. It's good enough to be used though.

It's really simple and basic, but does the job. Feedback appreciated. There is some basic validation built in, so try to break it if you want - if you end up with a blank screen or just a number then it has caught your dodgy input. If you get an error message then you have broken it so let me know.

The thing that may confuse you is that if you want to know, say, the chances of rolling 5 1's in 10 rolls, then what you *really* want to know isn't actually the chance of rolling 5 1's in 10 rolls, but actually the chance of rolling "at least 5 1's in 10 rolls" and that is what it works out.

For Commissioners this is how you need to arrange cup games:

1st vs 8th
4th vs 5th
3rd vs 6th
2nd vs 7th

That will give (assuming wins by seeds)

1st vs 4th
2nd vs 3rd

This seems like as good a place as any to post this link:

http://forum.bloodbowl-game.com/viewtop ... 988#p58988

Very comprehensive grouping of results in hundreds of thousands of games in different league formats.

Really interesting!

I've edited nj's post above to the revised version on the NAF (includes Sprint/Sure Feet as proposed by yours truly :) )

Apologies if anyone already knows about this, and apologies if anyone is offended by my posting another league’s content. Feel free to delete!!

This is a video (watching not required, it works if you have just ears) podcast recently started by a UKBBL coach, currently on 3 episodes.

The sound balancing is not as good Percy’s offerings, but they have more guests. I haven’t noticed them doing any team reviews yet or, you know, useful tactical talk, but they have a general chat about all sorts of bloodbowl stuff.
