Snotling Soda Punching Bag Cup - Week 1 13th Sept

Postby Raveen » Mon Sep 07, 2015 11:41 am

The games have been played, the blocks have been thrown and the blood has been mopped up by underpaid goblin minions.

That's right folks the league phase of Season 6 is over! A big hand to our champions, the Cheesepongers for an almost flawless record. A big hand clenched into a massive fist thumping into their faces of course.

Anyway, that's all in the past and the important thing now is the Snotling Soda Corporation Punching Bag Cup. The more yopu got knocked down and hurt, the better you qualified!

The Qualifying teams are (from highest to lowest):
The 13th Doomwheel
The Cheesepongers
The Isa Black Stars
Gojira's Army
Club 27
The Brave Harts
E.L.O.
The Azorgh Rock-Knockers

The first games are therefore:

Game 1: 13th Doomwheel vs Azorgh Rock-Knockers
Game 2: Gojira's Army vs Club 27
Game 3: Isa Black Stars vs Brave Harts
Game 4: Cheeseosophers vs E.L.O.

And to make sure we're all clear the next week will be the semis where the winners of Game 1 will play the winners of game 2. And naturally the winner of game 3 will play the winner of game 4.

Train your teams and get your predictions in!

I'll set up the cup in Blood Bowl tonight so that you can all get your teams in. Then I'll do my best to get the seeding right for the first time ever.

Expect the now traditional rant about how crap Cyanide's system is sometime later this week.

The last 'Zons V 'Mans game was a very 'English' game - very polite and more small talk than action.

I'm hoping for MORE this time... MOOOOORE!!

Ahem. Sorry.

Don't forget to refer to the post in the Blood Bowl Resources that you made last time you had to set a cup up.

My dear Sir,

in reply to your article beginning "The last 'Zons V 'Mans" etc., it is the contrary opinion of this writer that another English game would be most agreeable. Indeed, one would go so far as to hazard a preference for the usual Marquess of Queensbury rules, with traditional "You wouldn't hit a lady?" and, further, plenty of "After you, ma'am." Not forgetting, or course, cucumber sandwiches cut in the triangular arrangement at half time.

Failure to comply will be considered exceedingly poor form, and may sadly necessitate a most seriously considered response during the match. I am of course sure, however, that you will not hesitate to comply. Or else.

Yours sincerely,

Edna the Lacerator

And that, gentlemen, is how an Englishman grudges.

I hate dorfs so much. I hope I kill one. I might see if I can find some replays online and study the matchup.

Die, dorfs, die. e_e

Righto Sheila,

Sorry to disappoint ya, but me and me mates were kinda more after giving you a right good kicking, as a thank you for the Battle of Ballymore (look it up) or any cricket played in 'the 'Motherland' in the last 10 years, and don' think we've forgot about the Bodyline controversy either ya drongo.

Instead, we suggest the Queensland Rules, where we let Sheilas away from the kitchen once in a while and even let them grow beards. The traditions WE have are "Why wouldn't you hit a lady" and "We'll score before ya".

Cucumbers don't grow out Bush, but we can supply plenty of wildlife that will kill you and a carton of XXXX.

So ya bunch of Pommies, get ready for a trouncing on Sunday.

Watch out for DropBears,

Nil Desperandum
