I seem to have accidentally signed up for the inter-podcast league on fumbbl. What team should I pick?
Criteria, I want to cover a team that neither Daigoro or I have played for research purposes and also have an excuse for getting my arse handed to me.
I'm thinking underworld.

I don't know if I want to give all my secrets away anymore. Id's probably gonna beat me in season 10's magnificent underworld derby.

Well done Rav. Perhaps I'll have time to dig up my advice to id. It seems to have worked well.
If they are early chaos you have a decent chance, especially if they have a minotaur.

Oh. Well.
I'll see if I can get some fever together and look up my advices to id by tuesday. Not sure though as very busy.
Basically though, running game with throwers, save a reroll for end of half TTM attempt which will fail, don't be afraid of failing a 2d against blitz into his cage. Expect to lose and fail. Repeat for 100 games and wonder why you bother.

So Rav, how much advice do you want? I am prepared to dump you a massive PM (or email) of advice I told id, if you want it. Let me know and I will format it into a readable... format.
But, like, only if you're serious and don't just want my hard earned secrets

Pass the ball to Ernie, he runs in & scores, that's my experience.

Halftime Update from the Podbowl.
The All Stars are facing off against rookie Chaos outfit, Goaty McGoatface. The All Stars kicked and managed to get a touchback. The Chaos ploughed straight up the middle until a failed dodge left the ball carrier exposed. The All stars pounced and the ball ended up in the hands of a goblin/ Not sure which one because who cares, it's a goblin. We charged off down the pitch but the Chaos team got lucky with a 2GFI blitz and knocked the ball free on the sideline. They couldn't get to it though and Ernie ran in, scooped up the ball and ran it home for a Touchdown on turn 7. Nothing much happened on the last turns.
1-0 at Half Time!
My opponent is currently AFK but I have the ball on turn 10 in the middle of the pitch. I'm not sure I'm going to keep it though...

Fulltime!
The loose cage at the centre of the pitch survived because a the Goats failed a 2D push off the pitch even after a reroll. Pirlorc ran through but got blitzed down by a lucky beastman. Luckily the Thin White Duke was there to pick up the loose ball and score on turn 5. I figured that the Chaos may score 1 back but probably not 2.
The kick landed short and the Chaos warrior failed the pickup, scattering it to a frontline warrior who promptly got twatted by Percy. The All Stars swarmed in and Pirlorc bravely lifed the ball only to get blitzed down again. With the ball in no mans land both teams threw players into the fray. Finally the ball scattered out to James Hutton the Goblin who saw an opportunity and 2 GFId over the line on turn 8.
Final Score
Percy's Arty All Stars 3-0 Goaty McGoatface
Percy played an absolute blinder, only stupiding out twice and one of those was when he was left on his own and I fancied a cheeky block. the Goblins got KOd and hurt but I had the numbers for most of the match as I Badly Hurt 1 beastman and MNGd another (the Duke again). My opponent had all the trouble that starting Chaos is supposed to have, exacerbated by not doing obvious things like standing up players before rolling dice.
Bring on the next challenger!
