v1.0 released!

So! Here we go! I've pretty much mined out all the information in the saved games file. Pretty much all the data is displayed somewhere. No more new information for a couple of months I reckon, when I take on the task of interpreting the log files. But I reckon the product as it stands, in terms of data it provides, is comparable to BBM... a bit behind in places and a bit ahead in others so I'm pretty satisfied with it, and surprised I got this far before the baby came.
I did have a ton of useful links in here when I wrote this post originally, but it rejected any link with an equals sign in it, so, yeah, you're gonna ahve to click around and find them yourself :p
What's new?
Competitions
Previously, there was only a blank page. But now...
- League tables are now calculated and stored (a lot harder than you might imagine), for example Season 6 League.
- Small bug that needs fixing regarding missing teams, don't worry it will get sorted soon!
- A link on the competition page takes you to a list of matches from that competition.
Skills
Previously, all that existed was a list of skills. But now...
- The skill page now tells you what category that skill is in & a description of it (descriptions populated in for ~50% of skills thus far).
- Most places you see a skill written will have a link to the skill page. So next time you see a player with Bonehead and you need reminding exactly what that skill does, just click the name and find the answer!
Players
Previously, there was no support whatsoever. But a lot of work has gone in, and now...
- See a list of all players, either by characteristic or statistics (similar to the different tabs you can see in the client).
- Current players are also listed in the team view (dead/retired played to be added soon).
- The player screen gives their overall characteristics, statistics (all-time), and a history of all their matches (that have been uploaded).
Minor things
- All games that have been uploaded have been put through my calculation engine again... so all stats you see on the website fully benefit from all the logic I have added in the last few weeks.
- Team stats are now fully up to date - previously they were only "as of before the most recent game" whereas now the most recent game is included too.
- Tidied up some stuff behind the scenes
- Fixed the bug that was giving incorrect error messages when trying to upload files
- Now almost halfway in my efforts to upload the whole of season 6
Still to-do in version 1
- Implement/report on all injuries suffered, past & present
- Report on the order that skills are given
- A team stats average-per-game page - similar in format to this page (notjarvis' suggestion)
- Retirement code needs testing - Thanks for a couple of examples in the other thread, I will get onto it at some point
- Proper star player support (Raveen's suggestion)
- Player type page (eg a black orc page telling you the black orc stats and a list of all black orcs that have been in RTBBL)
- Anything else you guys can can come up with that can be made of up data you can currently see on the website :-)
- Match report page is unfinished - need to get all the stats on there, and all the players' match performances.
- Value is sometimes reported in '000's and sometimes as a while number, need a consistent approach.
