What is BBDB?
It's a web-based application for collecting stats from the Blood Bowl 1 computer game by Cyanide. It's also terribly named (Blood Bowl DataBase).
Why was it created?
It was initially conceived of as an alternative to the mostly-excellent BB Manager. It aimed to cover a couple of its flaws - a) it's occasional downtime and b) the iffy statistical analysis of dice rolls it provided. Also there was more that could be done with the data that it didn't cover - things like player analysis for example.
In Feb 2016 BB Manager was announced as being dead to the world, with all the data lost, which acted as an extra spur to development of BBDB. Thankfully RTBBL had already been capturing all their matches in BBDB for 6 months prior to BB Manager going down, but most data from our first 5 seasons has been lost as it was only on BB Manager.
Is BBDB still under development?
Yes, and you can follow the development HERE. However it basically works as it is, in terms of capturing results, player stats and so on. More and more features are being added as time goes by.
Who is developing it?
Essentially it is just Gandalf, although most of RTBBL help by reporting bugs and testing things out. Additionally an API is provided; using this id3nt1ty is working on a match report image similar to what BB Manager provided. This may (or may not) eventually be incorporated into the core BBDB product.

Can add more FAQ's here if people have any suggestions. I felt the forum deserved a thread like this.
