3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Defend the camp!
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
(You can also add to the post what you're doing to defend it.. if you don't, I'll just put you in the swordline and roll the battle without you using any spells etc, essentially playing you in the soldier role.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Cant I react to the battle as it comes along? For example, I dont know if the goblins can use magic spells. If they can I may want to either go for Posession, counter, absorb or magic barrier. If they cant use magic go for two shields on who needs them. Then use Posession for the double stats and get at them with my Talon of Horus.
Also can you remove the speed penalty for dual wielding? I gave my regular dagger to Verincent.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
I draw my staff and make ready to face down the oncoming horde. We will not be giving the Elf over to the Goblins under these circumstances, if they want him they need to come and ask nicely. My Cacti warriors and I form a fighting unit. I command Lancelot to take the left, Hariulfus the right and Ivanhoe with me and Gordon in the centre, Gawain I tell to keep guard on the Elf for the time being and probably Uther too who'll no doubt be cowering nearby.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Make me an assasin, to defend the camp. Ill use my speed to deal Coup d Graces.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Uther prepares to run.......
But then sees everyone else is staying and decides he doesn't want to run off on his own.
Uther cowers by the elf and the big treeman guarding him.
Then thinks a little, and casts Genius on the Goblin that looks like the leader
Attempt to plant the suggestion in his mind that
*"I'ts a good idea to tell the others about how weak those guarding mages look. None of you need to dodge or Block their blows as they are so weedy! Charge! "*
Uther raises his weapon and cowers

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
You may assume that the goblins have no magic, and bear no bladed weapons except their claws and fangs. A goblin's bite is venomous but other than that they're just bipedal monsters intent on eating you.
(I thought I removed the penalty... in any case I'll get to it tomorrow, when I'll probably roll this story along)

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Any chance Folst can get up on Uther's tree friend and start shooting at the nasty gobbos with his arrows?

OK I need to change the the plan a bit.

Then thinks a little, and casts Genius on the biggest goblin he can see
Attempt to plant the suggestion in his mind that
*"Those creatures look uninteresting - this goblin however next to me looks really really tasty. And the other one! Perhaps I should try eating all them instead!"*
Otherwise Uther raises his weapon and cowers

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Let's smack some gobos. Prepare to fight!
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Will try and wait for Folst for one more day (he's on vacation isn't he?), I'll take control of his character tomorrow and move this along.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
He said to climb a tree and shoot arrows from there.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Whoops, missed that. I'll roll the battle first-ish thing tomorrow then!
EDIT: Changed my mind. I'll update now.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
The goblins tear across the desert, with the Cacti Warriors Ivanhoe, Lancelot, Gawain and Hariulfus looking on calmly, banging their swords on their shields on occasion, spoiling for a fight. Pretty soon they slip into a rhythm, and their swords drum steadily into the cold desert night.
R'rud prepares his magics and focuses them on Ivanhoe and Lancelot, who seem the likeliest to ltake the brunt of the battle. As the duelist crackles with energy, Fenlander takes charge of the Cacti Warriors, telling them to form a loose line.
Verincent, meanwhile, lurks around this, waiting for the goblins to come about. Uther, practically wrapped in armor, cowers beside the elf, whom Gawain had wisely deposited to the rear of the camp. He finds the elf to be suddenly wide awake and trembling with fear. Content that he has found a kindred spirit among these courageous men, he begins chanting a spell..
Folst climbs up on Gawain's shoulder, his plate managed to keep Folst from becoming too much of a pincushion, Folst draws his bow as Andronicus and Fenlander joins joins the sword line.
The goblins surge forward, the leader lagging behind, pointing at the wizards and yelling encouragements... or curses, you're not sure which. These devils sure can fight, and swarm over the Cacti warriors like crazed jackals, tearing at their armor with razor sharp claws, ignoring the wizards for the moment.
Fenlander and Andronicus enter the fray, tearing into the pack of rabid monsters, who are, on the whole, doing quite a number on the Cacti Warriors, who are less nimble than the little balls of claws and teeth.
A shield comes into being, surrounding Ivanhoe and protecting him from the goblin's attacks, for now. R'rud immediately begins casting a second shield. Folst lets loose an arrow, which misses widely off the mark.
The Goblin leader, seeing the sword line in chaos, prowls around the melee and goes after the elf, only to be met with Verincent, slashing at the leader and managing to scar the dirty freak in the face a few times with his knife and dagger.
Gawain steps forward, and smashes his sword downward on the goblin leader, who just manages to dodge out of the arc, backing away, hissing at his attackers..
Uther makes his mark on the battle at last, casting GENIUS on the goblin leader, who suddenly gets into his head that goblin flesh tastes amazing (not!) It suddenly stops hissing and starts drooling, and turning around, began to pounce on his own fellows.
Before you could say "Andronicus," one goblins was eaten alive right before your eyes. This startles the goblin pack, and they run. The leader eats another while Lancelot and Hariulfus run two others through with their blades.
The goblin leader chases after his pack, intent on eating them...
- Join the chase! Hunt down the goblins!
- You've managed to drive them off, time to resume rest.
- Time to interrogate the elf!
- Cast spells?!
