You make your way in-system, and after trying to gain help from some tight-lipped Pinnacle authorities, you decide to do some searching of your own. It takes a little time, but you finally find the ship you're looking for. It it sitting in a fairly high parking orbit with no other ships nearby. It would be fairly easy to turn your cloak on and sneak fairly close to make a preemptive strike, or you could go in and announce yourself.

Your options:
1: Activate cloak and get in close, but wait for further action
2: Activate cloak, get in close, and fire to disable engines (Moderate chance of success - The ship is armored)
3: Go in boldly and demand the money
4: Go into a nearby parking orbit but remain silent.[/spoiler]

You make your way to the Parth jump point and make an uneventful transit. As you get ready to make your in-system arrival broadcast, you feel a loud thump, and your ship's systems shut down, plunging your ship into darkness. A small emergency light flickers on, then sputters out as the unit chooses the moment it is needed to die.

Your options:
1: See if you can get any response from the ship's systems
2: Go into the rear of the ship to see if you can find the problem
3: Fix the emergency light.

It's tedious work, but you shuttle a few loads of supplies to the transport. A big, blackened hole marks the spot where a drive unit used to be, and you can see a tug holding the broken drive. Another stands by with a functional drive, but the welding sparks inside the hole show that the ship isn't quite ready yet.

We want the woman returned to Belview, and will give a bonus for our property - A Data-drive. Losing that data drive could seriously harm our business. The woman was last seen in Blink
Reward: 23,000. Bonus: +10,000 for Data Drive recovery.

You find the woman in the nick of time, getting Security to pull her off a ship that was headed to Vandaruul only moments before its departure. The other passengers are upset about the delay as you go through the cargo hold and get her checked cargo. Looking through it, you find the data drive you're looking for.

You board the suspected ship with the captain's blessing, and after checkign out the cargo and running a few scanners on the interior of the ship, you conclude that, if someone is smuggling banned construction equipment into the system, this isn't the ship they're using.

Genghis will move in as close with the cloak on as is safe.
Have a look for any what weapons he has, and whether the engines are warm or anything

[spoiler]After failing to get any sort of response from the ship's systems, you do what all of your schooling has told you not to: Connect one of the computers to your suit's power supply. It takes a few seconds to boost, but you get the information you need before disconnecting it and shutting it off. Your ship is not providing any power to your cockpit. Perhaps it is a conduit that has blown, or maybe the whole power core itself is gone.

Your options:
1: Trace the power conduit from your control panel back to the rest of the ship.
2: Make your way to the power core.
3: Fix the light.[/spoiler]

Is there any way I can copy the data on the drive before I hand it over, without the customer realising obviously. If I can take a copy I'll scan it at a later date for any and all useful and valuable information.

A few of the shots ping off the ship's armor, but at least one connects with the drive unit, and you watch your sensors as the ship's drive cuts out. The Power Core is still functioning, but the ship has no weapons. It does now know where you are, of course, but opening fire made that unavoidable.

Your options:
1: Hail the ship.
2: Board the ship.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]The power conduit leads through the main cargo bay, but as you reach the door it, too is unpowered. A small panel is lit with emergency batteries, and it shows you that there is no atmosphere on the other side. It doesn't take you long to force the door open, but as you do the atmosphere in your compartment vents out, leaving you with only that in your helmet.

The scene before you is terrifying: A huge gaping hole has been blasted into the side of your ship. Through it, you see the approaching lights of another suit, and a ship that seems vaguely familiar. Reaching down, you feel the reassuring presence of your sidearm, but you're still not sure - Are they friend, trying to help you, or are they foe, having attacked you?

Your options:
1: Try to communicate with the person. They're obviously trying to help.
2: Stop the person with the sidearm until they can explain.
3: Open fire. They're obviously up to no good.[/spoiler]
