Anti-air is unlocked by default, you just have to switch your grenade launcher for it.
I enjoy playing heavy/engineer. Been levelling up a Sunderer as well so I can be ground transport/spawn bitch.

My favourite combo is hacking a enemy vehicle spawning station with my infiltrator, then spawning a sunderer, deploying it and letting squadmates spawn on it. Quick base captured guaranteed.

I've heard the skyguard has been nerfed pretty bad, AA max seems to be the bees knees at the moment.

This was a nice one. I was on a hill opposite enemy bio-dome, denying them the south exit on a terrace, informing my side of their positions and sniping them from 300m away*, unseen and undisturbed. I spent all my ammo, twice, before someone got behind my back.

Last night was the best. Took out a squad of 5 people solo with my sniper having them rush me up first one hill, then after playing hide and seek, another hill.. Since they had a medic I had to make 8 kills total.

My best results have been with grenades. It's hilarious to lob them from really far away, and get kills on people trying to plink at you with short range carbines.

Incidentally upgraded my engineer repair gun to mk 3. It's a great tool for farming certs at times.

MAX starts with Flak on one hand if you change the setup, dual flak can be purchased. Also needs an engi for ammo and repairs.
One thing I am thinking is when I played BF1942 competitively, I was given command of our division. A major problem I found in defining roles was it slowed response times. We would be real organized at the start, but as the game went on and more spawns with tanks and planes were captured, it went into anarchy. Also, even a mediocre pilot in a plane was advantageous compared to sitting on the field. An unfortunate truth was that usually the better pilots were also better tankers and well... generally better players. So by encouraging the idea of having planes available to them meant a lot of firepower was left unused and it killed our offensive potential.
Also the head of the squad and I would butt heads rather often when it came to tactics, he was a fan of formations when we were already too slow. Imagine not rushing a miner until we formed up in a finger four formation in Allegiance. Led to a god awful squad game where neither of us were talking, thankfully we both manned after that and addressed the problem. But the game wasn't fun anymore and became a chore.
PS2 does ween around the issue with the terminal system, but I advise caution around 'defining' roles. I personally prefer to be moving in armor with the zerg, hate grinding it out on foot in a bio lab where my framerate is playable but hurts my eyes after a half hour, sometimes a couple extra folks as infantry wins the sector.
Still haven't had a chance to pound a continent with you guys yet, but let us exercise caution when defining roles when we haven't ironed out a time to play yet.

what adept says ... Putting certs into a class just changes the classes efficiency dramatically. That is especially true for aircraft things and some ground vehicles ...

I also have the Sunderer respawn upgrade.
Im collecting CERTs (500) for the highest upgrade for the Medics heal gun.
