Glad to hear it. I should probably try it.

How much does it lose centering?

Not that often, unless a cat walks in front of your camera...

With face tracking there is a trade off between accuracy and sample rate. A higher sample rate means it is more accurate but you get a slight delay - but this can be tuned and it's not noticeable in game.

You can also change the response curves and this is really nice. There is a thread on the Frontier forums with a great set up so you get limited in a nice little spot for the two side panels. That setting didn't let you look down quite as much as I liked, and had a massive dead zone so I fiddled the curves a little bit. I'd be happy to send you over my config, and the driver files, if you want.

I also tried out joystick curves for my joystick - which really helps except that it means Elite occasionally forgets about my buttons on the throttle... Not great when you are trying to drop out of frame shift at a station and have to emergency stop by just turning off the FS Drive.

Ouch :/

I feel a little bit guilty for enjoying my full CH HOTAS & your graciously donated pedals now. :-\

Ha, don't worry about it! You can feel guilt if I ever buy my own peddles.

Two Weeks™? :D

Edit: Beta 3 is 28th October I think? I don't know when the planned release date is though, if it exists in any form other than "the end of the year." Perhaps Adept can fill us in.

Full release before the end of the year, gamma (no more wipes, mercenary edition open) some weeks before that.

My guess is Gamma at end of November, giving Beta 3 a month, and then release around the end of December.

They would ideally want to have the full release out for christmas. I personally suspect Gamma phase may be quite short, just a few weeks to see there are no critical things in need for patching.

That way the latest they could launch gamma is on the 1st week of december, and full release on the xmas week.

Christmas is the end of December. And I could see Gamma on the last week of November/First week of December. They're not going to want it TOO long because that would give everyone in it a HUUUUUUUGE advantage.

It's not a race :) I don't know if it matters really.

If you are willing to part with some more £ you can join us in the Beta O:-)
The account can be upgraded by just paying the difference.
