Wizards!
Re: Wizards!
Done. May it serve you well.
*Verincent glares nostalgically at dagger* Goodbye short-term friend. I had a lot of (backstabby) dreams for you but I have to stick to my guns... errr Staff.

Re: Wizards!
Well, that was... extraordinary.
I address the assembled masses in my best lord of the manor voice.
"As you can see, good people, we have travelled from distant lands. Although our customs may be... strange, be assured that we are not insane and we come to learn and understand your ways. By understanding we can build friendship and the closeness of friendship between the peoples of Drakonia and this great realm must be for the benefit of everyone.
Will you help us in our quest? Will you help us, weary travellers as we are, will you help me?"

Re: Wizards!
(frankly I'm a little disappointed by the lack of Twerking in Verincent's routine).
I thought we had been led to our quarters?
Who is there with us? If it's Ibun, or someone who looks important I'll join with Rav and ask how preparations are going.
if he's making his speech to some grotty servants - it's time to do some exploring of the castle, if only to scope out escape routes for when it inevitably goes pear shaped.

while the rest of the party are led to their shared quarters - which turns out to be a huge circular chamber with beds and food everywhere.

Re: Wizards!
Oops, I got so distracted by the "display" that I rather neglected my own location. Same speech goes to Ibun, assuming she's still about, or some scantily clad cult girlies. Whichever really.
If not then I wrote that speech down to use later when addressing the cult.

Re: Wizards!
Just how many beds ARE there in this room?
Re: Wizards!
You find that there are quite a lot of beds (5-10, must be a guest room) lying around in a circular fashion orbiting a huge wooden table full of food. As you marvel at this sight, several of the cult women enter and dance and undulate and generally arouse the senses around the food.
Re: Wizards!
Normally uther would be letching onto the poor women dancing around
But something about this setup makes him very nervous.
Maybe he's just not used to being treated so well. maybe he's not that confident that his spell casting worked so well to get them into this position.
Uther starts inspecting the room for exits passages or tunnel s so he can work out the lay of the area and go explore.

Re: Wizards!
Let's eat. We'll work better if were rested and fed. Although I suppose we should check for poison. Uther... come here for a moment...
Re: Wizards!
The Wizards enjoy the food and looking at the women, who dance suggestively and seductively but keep it broadly tasteful. Uther suffers another mental breakdown and starts tapping walls and stomping on floors to find secret escape routes but only finds sore fingers and feet. The women think he's doing yet another elaborate dance.
Meanwhile..
Mordin finally arrives at what could only be a quarantined room for diseased people. He is led by two of the cult ladies to a very very pox-ridden woman. Beside her is a sallow-looking young woman who could only be her daughter.
The pox is unlike anything you've seen before. And you've seen some gruesome stuff, both Uther's dance, your journey to hell, and medical training in the House of Healers has toughened you.
Had you been the man you were 9 days ago.. you would have only seen her die. But your skills have increased and you should be able to save this lady's mother. But you realize that your spell, while able to heal her, would put her through great agony and she might even die from the pain.
It is an interesting disease and perhaps the first of its kind to respond to magical treatment in this way. You bless your lucky stars that you're able to discern this symptom by a mere glance. You now have a decision to make. Risk killing her through pain or perhaps let her die with what dignity she has left.

Re: Wizards!
I'd like to first ask about the origin of the disease. Then I'd like to explain the situation to the old lady and her daughter, and see what they have to say about it...
Ints kill nans, probes kill bombers.

Re: Wizards!
Uther's still a bit claustrophobic, and worried, so he's going to ask one of the dancing girls if she would be so kind as to give him (and any of the other wizards who want to come along) a tour of the most interesting parts of the castle.
If she's unwilling with simple sweet-talking try to manipulate her into doing it by casting Genius.

Re: Wizards!
I'll go along with the tour, seems like a good way to asses the place for potential attack and defence. I won't mention that to the cultists of course. Also I'll keep my eyes out for any signs of live dragons, scorch marks, claw marks, caves on the hillside and so on.
Re: Wizards!
Playing tourist is fun!
Re: Wizards!
Ill be the thief who tries to steal the mahogany stand from Ulther (IBUN did give it back right?) while they are on the tour...
edit : if not the stand, then I at least try to cut off some of his wizardy hair with my stiletto (some versions do have cutting edges) to sell on the black market to some fools...

Re: Wizards!
Can people interefere with your story, like Xjammer did? If so, I would like to join the story as well.
Name: R'rud the Denier
Background: Growing up as just one son in a very large family is never easy. This is especially true if you are the only one in your family without magick. Every day of your life you see the others do all kinds of fantastical stuff. They specialize in many different kinds of magick. But you are always the same, excluded, different, lonely. This was the case for young R'rud. At least, until that one day 6 years ago on his 14th birthday. R'ruds entire family was gathered for the event, drinking and eating lots of tasty food (some even contained tyme). At one point, several contests were played that required skills of magick. Of course, young R'rud could not participate. He could however, watch the event. And watching the event he did. One of these contests was to magickally light fires, while a different person had to put them out as quickly as possible using water magicks only. At one point, one of his brothers lit a small fire under R'ruds bum as a joke. Of course, the fire was quickly put out, but R'rud had had enough. He wanted it all to stop, and to his and everyone elses amazement, the fire magick around them just stopped. No one could cast that kind of magic around him anymore. He noticed something else as well. Somehow he just knew basic fire magick, even though he never had before.
Turning 18, R'rud decided to hit the road and explore the lands. During one of his travels, he heards about the dragon cult, triggering his interest. He came to the cult, disguised as a regular traveler and wanders around the perimeter.
