People playing
Re: People playing
I got bored as well. The broken flinch mechanic is a part of the reason. It screws NC over big time.
Hyro from Allegiance is playing in a competetive outfit on Waterson (Terran). He has extended an invite to people who would like to get really into SC2. They are trying to have 48 ppl on the server all the time.

Re: People playing
i'm still playing; i really enjoy this type of gameplay and i'm willing to put up with an amazing amount of crappiness and frustration, it seems. Currently developing an infiltrator and frankly having a ball.
I left the outfit, though. There wasn't anyone on when i played and it started to become a bit pointless to be in one after a while. Hoping to join an active outfit one of these days.

I think I'll either have to contact Hyro or uninstall PS2, becase RT bunch stopped playing and going solo is quite boring.
Is Hyro his callname there too?

Re: People playing
It still runs awfully on my 6 year old machine. It was only worth putting up with 5fps when there were other RT's there.
Also it didn't have a real persistent feel to it to me - it was random fights day after day.

Re: People playing
too bad, could have been a great game.

He plays on a server in the states, so the ping may be unmanageable Mord.

Re: People playing
Yeah had the same issue as others pointed out. Crappy FPS in game, and the game itself does not have much persistence, sort of like a mix of MMO with non-MMO game hardly taking best points out of both of them.

I still play it sometimes for a casual FPS experience.

To be honest for casual FPS I tend to prefer a game of TF2, as you can at least complete a game and get a sort of feel of acheivement.
Natural Selection 2 is the other FPS I play sometimes at the mo. It's good too, and very like allegiance in some ways (have commander whio builds and gets you tech and all that jazz). I'm just a bit too slow on the trigger in that to do well i think

This is my problem as well. I'm just not that hot on the FPS core skill set. PS2 is technically pretty polished these days, but it's logic if flawed. It's geared to getting together with 30 mates and dominating a map. If you have 100 mates, so much better. Individual players on the opposing team (what I tend to find myself being) are just grist in the mill.

Re: People playing
I played two days ago. Performance was crap and the game crashed several times. When was the update?
Re: People playing
They claim that 64-bit / quadcore support is enabled or coming this weekend. Didn't seem to be there when I tried it a few hours ago.

Re: People playing
installed it, got killed two times, made a few headshots and uninstalled it again.
it overheats my comp stupidly fast on low settings, while I can run some newer games with less problems.

Re: People playing
Performance got a huge boost. Game runs really smooth now. Too bad it has no soul, could have been a great game.
