PS2 "Squad game time"
Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
Just call me when you see I am online playing skyrim. I am usually up for a teameffort with PS2. I just got tired of always playing solo.

Have we managed any yet? This needs some ASL action. I want to try a 6+ strong team at the very least.

Did someone call for an arbitrary decision from someone with a measure of authority? I can do that!
The most free time is Sunday evenings, but that's generally a good time for gaming anyway. So, feel free to come on then.
But, apart from that, I propose Tuesday evening to be declared Planetside 2 night. Start between 7pm and 8pm UK time (8pm-9PM Europe time) and play until people are bored/tired. As for me, I have played very little as I find the game a bit dull without friends (plus very slow on my PC) but will try to come on Tuesdays.
How's that for a decision?

Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
Tuesday Evenings, at 2-3PM My time? Sounds good to me!
Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
Did ya'll hop servers? I seem to only still be friends with like 3 of you on woodsman. Or did I say something offensive and ignorant again?

Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
Naah, that'd be too passive aggressive for RT.
Again?
You have an entertaining story of some previous times?

A recent update wiped the friends list FIZ
Gandalf's SG times suit me fine btw.

Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
We had a good time yesterday. I logged on a bit late but there were still 6 or 7 of us there (mostly RT's and a few others). See you around on next Tuesday

Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
I only stayed 45-60 minutes. There's only so long that the plus of teamwork and having a laugh with friends can counteract the minus of getting single figure FPS in firefights...
Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
It seems a lot of our guys are in serious need of new computer hardware. My overclocked Q6600 & Geforce 560 Ti feels like the minimum rig to enjoy the game with decent (not good) framerate.

Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
Hell, I HAVE new computer hardware and I get around 15fps on most areas, about 10 in crowded places. That's just... not right.
Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
The game is one of the most inefficient games ever. They are working on it, though, even if they should've done that while on Beta, they chose to focus on game balancing rather than performance. It actually makes sense, since their main population target are people willing to spend a lot of money in mini-transactions, which in turn should have a lot of money to have the latest hardware and play the game at an acceptable pace. They will improve the performance at some point, and believe when I tell you that at release it was far better (far, far better) than how it was in Beta.
Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
Yup, I hope so, it's that and you guys that keep me in the game.
I've engaged in some slight OC'ing of my CPU (the main constraint on my PC) and I think it's helped a bit. I can't overclock it too much as the ventilation is really bad - it's in a cupboard barely bigger than itself. My next PC is scheduled for around 12 months time so will make do until then.

Re: PS2 "Squad game time"
Plus, there ARE things that you can do with shitty FPS. You can repair or heal. Hell, you can even drive most vehicles

I'm going to push my OC from 3.0 to 3.2 by dropping the multiplier to 8 and upping the FSB to 400. This should make the memory sync perfect, since I'm using 800 MHz DDR2. Assuming I can get the CPU to run stable and cool enough, of course. Currently it looks like it shouldn't be a problem.
