Had a bit of a day today so will update tomorrow

R'rud suggests that the party goes to the smithy to arm themselves for their quest. Fenlander concurs. Andronicus also agrees, eager to not be caught unawares again from the last duel with a dragon.

Uther however thinks it would be more prudent to have a drink or two first to see if the rumors are true, and pick up more interesting tidbits of information that they were liable to find at the watering hole.

Folst, still shaken up by his recent ordeals, decides that he needs a drink, and tags along with Uther.

After a brief discussion on the matter, Uther and Folst relent and decide to follow the others to see themselves kitted out. The 'smithy' turned out to be a one stop place for all kinds of equipment, as you soon find out..

The party may select up to 9 items under the 'common' class, 6 under the 'uncommon' class, and 1 under 'rare'.

Rare

Yang Blade: +17A, the primary weapon of the Imperial Guards of Yang.
Boom Stick: +30A, -15S a weapon that fires metal projectiles.
Elemental Staff: +10A, permanently increases 1 (2 if wielded by an Elemental) spell's level by 1.

Uncommon

Full Imperial Plate: +30AR, -20S, an exotic armor worn by Yang's finest. Not for the scrawny.
Chain Mail and Steel Helmet: 20AR. Good protection from most things.
Silver Dagger: +7A, may have hidden magical properties.
Longsword: +17A, -11S. A big sword, plain and simple.
Bow and Poison Arrows: +7A, chance to poison enemy.
Dagger of Time and Space: +4A, cannot be blocked.
Talon of Horus: +20A, 1 failed attack on enemy becomes successful.
Marble Staff of the Seer: +1A, grants you a Level 1 Divination spell.
Chain Mail and Shield: +17AR. Good protection from most things.

Common

Stabbing sword: +14A
Counterfeit: +11A, a cheap knockoff of a Yang Blade. Reliable up until it breaks cleanly in two.
Knife: +7A
Leather Jerkin: +8AR (-1S for Uther for some reason).
Club: +8A
Silk Robe: +5AR
Faerie Staff: +5A, allows you to teleport a short distance.
Blueberry Staff: +3A, wielder does not feel hunger or fatigue.
Hornet's Dagger: +6A, +6S
Short Sword: +9A
Trident: +12A
Quarterstaff: +11A

And and memento if I read correctly.

I would like a faerie staff and a Talon of horus as second. Leather jerkin optional. Would fit in really well with my rogue like character who focuses on agility and hit and run attacks / anti magic spells. May I suggest getting the silver dagger as well to check its magical powers and the elemental staff for Fenlander. Other than that, whatever each person wants.

If each item is only available once I could settle with a silver dagger if Andronicus really wants the faerie staff

Note that this does NOT mean that each member may take up to 9 common, 6 uncommon and 1 rare. So discuss with your team, see who gets what.

Is the Horus Fang some kind of dagger or fist weapon?

Perhaps Uther can share his leather jerkins if he gets the chain mail and steel helmet. I can share my dagger if I get the Hornets blade or silver dagger.

He also thinks a Trident or better Boom stick sounds very nice as all the dangerous action happens at the other end - i.e. far from him.

If we get the elemental staff it'll mean better trees with swords. Whether that'll be useful who knows?

Man I wish I knew what I was good at..." (I have no idea what Folst's stats are) "... although I feel like I might be good with a bow and arrow. Or a staff. Anything that keeps me at more than an arms reach front whatever is trying to eat me."

Perhaps your spell works on cactii too Fenlander? They are like the trees of the desert.

(The Boom stick sounds good for Uther. He is already super slow, speed can't go into the negative, right? And I agree he would be better off with something ranged and getting rid of his jerkins... one of em at least)

(Fenlander and Andronicus just scream frontline, would give Andronicus a Stabbing Sword, SpaceTime Dagger or Silver Dagger)

(Ruud could become a chance machine and quite the fighter with the Talon of Horus and his particular spellset, needs some armor)

(Folst needs to stay in range, bow and poison arrows?)

(Anything will be a step up from how naked I feel, so I lean for the Silver Dagger, Stabbing sword or Hornet's Dagger and Jerkin if Uther wants to pass me one and he trades for something speedier)

Seemingly useless include:
- Full imperial plate (too slow)
- Elemental Staff (Well, in comparison to Boomstick or Yang Blade... Just one more level of spell for +2 attack over his current weapon?)
- Long Sword (Too slow, compare to Stabbing Sword)
