There's an objective for you - instead of piracy, actively seek out slavers and free their slaves in the liberal federation stations.

I don't do piracy ;D I do bounty hunting. While I'm at it, I shoot out their cargo hatch to see what falls out. It's not my fault that the judges don't agree that what they have stolen is now mine (nor do they give me the option to turn the stuff in for a more modest reward).

So, I made it to Chimiri and bought a Viper only to realise I could jump to a single system from there. Not much fun. So I decided to go for an eagle and tricked it out with a bunch of stuff, including K-Warrant Scanner, fixed beam laser and two gimballed multicannons. Man the beam laser just shreds shields, and it isn't half bad on hulls either.

I'll be bounty hunting in and around Chimiri for the time being I think - working my way towards a Cobra.

Try fixed multicannons. Eagle is maneuverable enough it shouldn't be a problem. And they do more damage

But you can't fire fixed multicannons and fixed lasers at the same time. That's why I stick to fixed lasers and gimballed multi cannons.

I recommend turning on "trailing" gun indicators. Suddenly you pay attention to the target instead of looking at the lead pipper.

I do, quite often. Not all the time. But I still do. Plus, multicannons are much more effective against hull, to the point that not using my beam lasers against a ship's hull does not significantly affect how fast it dies.

Having obtained a Cobra by bounty hunting around Chimiri, I'm now planning on hedaing over to Lugh to take part in the Community Challenges there. I'll be declaring my allegiance to the Crimson State Group and showing the Federation what-for by signing up for combat missions and blockading Lugh 6, in the hopes of intercepting the Federations military intelligence convoys.

It would be fun to see other commanders over there - which ever side you fight for, Adept.

If I'm not watching Only Connect tonight then I'll be on. Lugh is a short hop from Chimiri so I'll happily partner up. I might want to take a quick detour to the local High Tech system to upgrade my shields though, these class 3s aren't going to hack a warzone.

Luckily for you Imperials I'm in Lapland snowboarding. Enjoy the Lugh rebellion.

Rebellion? I think you'll find that they have a right to self determination. Surely a wishy washy liberal like you is on our side? :)

I don't give a crap either way, so long as I'm getting paid. In a battle between a major power and an independent, I'll side with the power simply because I get to rank up as well as get paid that way.
