The Diamondback Explorer seemed to be able to do a decent amount of both.

I haven't played in a while. A bit irritated that regardless of what I do (literally dozens of missions and hours played), I get no Empire rank advance missions

Looks like a decent piracy build although you could sacrifice some cargo space for drones if you wanted.

There is no interdictor, but looks reasonable. I'll probably be on tonight, to see if I can find a nice pirating location and find out what state my ship is in.

Adds in an interdictor and swaps the shield into size 3 for extra cargo space. If you're going PvE then you might be able to get away with the 3A shield.

Took the Cobra out for some pirate fun. Replaced the Kill Warrant scanner with a cargo scanner, made some cargo space and got a limpet controller. Took a mission to steal one Animal Meat. Flew around for two hours. Did I find any animal meat? No. Did I have fun? Yes. Did I make any money? I made more from interdicting wanted people, scanning their cargo for anything good then killing them for the bounty than I did just stealing stuff.

I think if you get Horizons and you have the original, you get a Cobra Mk IV. You thinking of getting it?

It's the attitude I try to balance across all my purchases. Blood bowl is far from perfect but I've had my money's worth out of it several times over. Of course, Allegiance was the best buy

Haha, yes indeed - on both of those examples.

I like to think of it like going to the cinema. That costs ~£9 these day for a couple of hours entertainment, which is good if you're lucky. Getting the premium beta was a bit of a gamble, but one that is adding value to it's self every time FD release a new feature.

Found myself a Diamondback Scout in the end, but didn't have enough time to give it a proper test. I'm a bit gutted I can't transfer my Cobra to my "home" system, so considering buying a sidewinder to act as a taxi. I'll probably take the Scout out for a spin first and see what it's earning potential is.
