3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Sound arguments friends. Staying with the caravan, gathering information, is fine. Also, Verincent, please take this dagger from me. I noticed you have no weapons and it is only encumbering me.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
The party decides to join the heavily guarded caravan. The commander, a certain Captain Follo, takes a minimal fare from you and directs you to a carriage at the rear of the train. You begin your progress through the night..
Day 2
The sun rises lazily across the desert, and the caravan snakes its slow trail down south. All seems well, and you take the time to view the scenery. It is beautiful, in its way, rugged, and certainly wondrous from your vantage point in the shaded carriage.
The caravan stops at noon, where you are treated with refreshment, and a chance to stretch your legs a bit outside the carriage. From mingling with the other travelers, you gather that the recent Sand Worm attack seems to have spooked quite a few people.
The road to the next city is not too far ahead now, and you've not seen any Sand Worm of any kind, and you're senses are dragging at you... there is magic in this place...
Options:
-Continue to the next town
-Bid the train adieu, you'll go your own way from here
-Cast spells?!

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Fenlander, can you see if you can communicate with the spirits of this land?
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Look around the group as to whether anyone has actually seen the Sand Worm
Basically look around the other travellers, see if there are any Soldiers/fighters who look a bit like they've seen some action, with that thousand yard stare.
(Of course at the Back of Uther's mind is that no-one drinks like a Soldier who has seen too much, and maybe he could join that group to errm chat)
Otherwise Have a Chat to Captain Follo as to where/when the sand worm was last seen etc.

I'll boost up Trees with Swords to Level 4 inevitably.
And yes, I cast commune with Spirits.

That was one rickety caravan ride. Barely got any sleep.
Thanks for the dagger, Ru'ud, should come in handy. I must've lost my Hornet's Dagger somewhere, well, with how plucky it was this is quite an upgrade. I sense magic in it as well, but I'll reserve unfolding it for a situation a bit more dire than just lounging about.
I look forward to hearing what Fenlander's communion will be able to tell us, but my gut tells me we'll wind up wanting to hoof it, just to get ourselves acquianted with the area, before we face off with anything.

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
There's nothing stopping you going for a quick scouting mission whilst I do my thing.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
I say we stay with the caravan. They have good food!
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Perhaps some diviniation Andronicus? I can have a look around with Verincent in the mean time.
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
I shall join Uther, there must be someone around here who took an arrow in the knee...
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Can you heal Verincent before we leave?
Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
"Ah, my apologies! This whole healing lark is still so new to me I often forget I can do it!"

Re: 3 Months Later.. (Wizards)
Uther seeks out the hardened among the caravan to look for more information on the Sand Worm.. and more beer. This bloody desert is too boring sober, he surmised. As luck would have it though, an old crone DID see the Sand Worm before, and only a few days before Folst's fateful arrival.
"I was travellin' from Nawwash to Doner on a small transport caravan a few days ago and a big wave of sand jus' rose up, woosh! This big grey snake thing just jumped out of the sand and back innit like twas' water! Ain't seen nuthin' like that me whole life, and I'm 210 years old, I am!"
She points at a vague direction, deeper into the desert, lined with old ruins of a lost civilization. It looks close enough, but being in a desert, everything looks close enough.
Fenlander communes with the spirits, and they seem to corroborate what the old crone said. The spirits speak of a great artifact hidden deep in the desert, buried by the sands through aeons. It is not of this world, and the Sand Worm is indeed tied to it. Perhaps in a guardian capacity. You could probably find the entrance just by sensing its magical power, but you'll need lots of shovels..
The other members don't really find anything more of note.
Verincent, did you buy a Hornet's Dagger? Didn't seem to have caught that... I will amend. Folst doesn't need to heal anything as Verincent is healed. Each day fully heals you unless your HP is half or under.
