Transformers: War for Cybertron

I recently picked this up on Steam cheap and I'm rather enjoying it. The story is good giant robot fun and whilst it's not the G1 I grew up on and love (the marvel UK comics if anyone's interested) its clearly been written and designed by a group of people around about my age.

Gameplay is standard 3rd person shooter with the added fun of the transformation mechanic. There's very little limitation, if you want to be a car or tank or plane you can be at pretty much any time. That's what I want from a transformers game. And in all honesty its the IP that makes this for me. It upgrades a fairly standardly good game into a real blast.

Things to note though, it really benefits from a big screen and xbox pad.

If anyone's interested in co-op multiplayer let me know because it could be fun.
