Web site is www.ddo.com

I'm getting back into it if anyone wants to join me. I play on Thelanis and haved characters from 10 to 16 and can make new ones at 1, 4, and 7 to join anyone at whatever level they start at.

Yeah, those sorts of games.

It's quite different from WoW - killing individual monsters doesn't grant xp - in fact, all quests are instanced which is something I like most of the time.

OK, so... it's basically an MMO but with a D&D (3.5) base. But don't go buying the 3.5 core rulebooks since there's a LOT that's changed. If you know 3.5, it'll ease the learning curve, but I don't know by how much.

Well, you won't have any preconceptions then. The biggest thing is that it has a lot of versatility. the web site http://www.ddowiki.com might be of some assistance in figuring out just what's going on.
