Event Guidelines

Postby Andon » Sat Sep 24, 2016 1:43 am

The term 'Event' is a very loose one. It can be anything from 'Hey, I'm going to be playing Stellaris, anyone want to join?' to 'I want to make a regular group of League of Legends players for every Thursday at 5PM UTC.'

That said, there are still some guidelines to make things run smoother.
  1. Include the game name in the subject
  2. Include the game platform if needed - Not everyone plays games solely on the PC!
  3. Include what time the event will be at. If it's a variable time, include that. It can be anything from 'This Sunday at 3PM GMT' to 'I'm available most days 1-4pm US Eastern'
  4. If there are in-game requirements to be met, such as location, level, items, etc - Include them. If you want to meet up in the Colai system in Elite: Dangerous to go exploring, say so. If you want to do a level-90 Raid in WoW, say so. This lets people prepare for the event by getting the items, going to the location, gaining levels, or whatever else they may need to do.
  5. If there are out-of-game requirements to be met, such as voice chat, state so. Bear in mind, though, that Rolling Thunder does not discriminate or exclude people, and such activity will not be tolerated.
  6. If this event is open to non-RT members, say so! Everyone loves to bring their friends, and the best way to get people to join is to play with them.

Now let's see some events planned! It's a bit empty in here at the moment.
