Re: Mid-season 7 friendlies
BBManager is having Pacifist troubles, but wait! We have a new kid on the block don't we!!??
http://gandalfgames.net/bbdb/matchdetai ... atch_id=89
Pacifists win 4-1, but the gobbos win the morale victory with the bombardier... I THINK this is what happened; Abom lines up a bunch of gobbos for a gang foul and chainsaw on a soon-to-be-blocked lineelf, but KO him instead of just tripping him up. Bomber throws successfully; but the ball scatters to a line elf, who wangs it straight into the group of gobbos who are waiting to foul noone... nobody died; but a gobbo got stunned and the Looney got KO'ed; which effectively ended his match. Bloody FUNNY.
In some form of Karma though the elf who caught and wanged the bomb (Who obviously didn't attend the Drop Beats Not Bombs rave last week) got splatted to death by Percy's cousin Pudge (Percy felt a rousing in his soul that felt like happiness when he saw the elf's brain explode, but quickly put such horrendous thoughts aside). Then to ruin the post match happy dance got MVP, to go along with double 1ing my winnings.
19/20 match rating though, and it was jolly good fun. Thanks Abom!

Good game, Daigoro! You've definitely made me analyze my goblins some. I think the glaring weakness which really screwed them over this game was actually my 2 rerolls over the standard 3. That, combined with (maybe?) some a bit of bad luck led to even a draw being out of reach. On the other side of the reroll spectrum, Daigoro's 4th rerolls were basically unneeded.
Whoops, didn't see this until after I posted. Seems I got the score wrong; think I've only ever scored more than 2 TDs in a game once before so I'm feeling slightly dazed. Yes,my first TD involved some disgusting dodging, wanging and catching, I almost vomited myself.
Yes; a 3rd re-roll would've helped you out more, you had a few very cruel moments where Nuffle kicked you in the danglies; then I was a bit mean at the end stopping the TTM; but I was TD hungry!!
I had rerolls to spare in the first half; but used them all 2nd half; but that was rerolling pushes into more pushes mainly - 4 may yet prove to be overkill, but I've overloaded on the rerolls to counteract the fact that the noob Pacifists are lacking in skills. If I hadn't rolled 1s for my winnings in 2 out of the 3 games they've played I'd be able to comment more on the team build; so far the jury is still out; I've used the rerolls, but I've lost 2 players now, and I should sack a third and possibly a 4th (Ive got a -AG and a -MV and a MNG), but Woody Guthrie scored twice on his debut so he's already hogging the SPP and the rest of the team hasn't developed that much... yet. Probably shouldve got an apothacary first; but I wanted to try out some silly wanging plays.

Re: Mid-season 7 friendlies
Another week, another dead dwarf, shutup with your celebrating, what are you, Elves?

This week’s less than friendly was against Gandalf’s Nurgle Team: It’s A Sign. The Chorfs kicked and the Signs collected and ran, slobbered and slithered forwards in a general bash through the centre. They broke their pestigor runner through but it was fine, all I needed was a 2+ break tackle dodge (with a dodge reroll) for a bull to block him and put a tackle zone on him. Which failed. 1-0 to the Signs after a bit of stalling.
I had two turns of the first half left to equalize. Luckily Gandalf wasn’t quite prepared for what Bull Centaurs can do. I set them both up on my left flank along with rising star minotaur, Charles Darwin. I collected the ball with a hobgoblin and delivered it to the waiting hands of James Hutton, I got lucky here because the Bull was in a disturbing presence field making it a 5+ catch for the hand off. It was a case of blitzing with the mino to clear the route and then sending both Bulls through the gap. The rest of the team applied as many tacklezones as possible to stop any pursuit. On turn 8 I strolled home to make it 1-1.
In the second half I received and this time it was all about the slow grind rather than the two turner. Initially I went up my right but Gandalf closed me down and it was about this point where star palaeontologist, Euan Clarkson met his maker. Nevertheless I was able to pull back and break through the centre though and James Hutton once again took the ball towards the endzone, finally pausing on the far left of the pitch. Things ended up with a big fight in the middle of the pitch where my Dwarfs bashed themselves past the Nurgle players and then held them in place. On the right flank Charles Darwin set about any loose Nurglings that he spotted. In the end I scored on turn 14. 2-1 to the Rock-Knockers.
The Signs didn’t have much hope of pulling off a 1TTD so settled for hitting me some more but without much effect.
Gandalf got very lucky breaking armour 9 but that was balanced by totally failing to get anyone off the pitch for most of the first half. The loss of Professor Clarkson was a real blow as I’m now down 2 Guard players. The game was lots of fun although I think we’d both have liked to watch the Goblins vs Elves debacle going on on the other pitch

Try reinstalling BBM if it's been a problem since upgrading to Win 10.

BBM crashes just as it loads up; and also I have to launch BB and then tab out to load Mumble, if Mumble is open then BB won't load.
Used to work fine; only recently started having the problems I think since last Win10 update. Other games work fine.
But yes; I will try re-installing.

Re: Our game, good recap. I just can't keep up with the bull centaur. I would mention that your intended receiver got the ball on the very first turn thanks to a touchback, which only happened because I rolled 6 on a D6 for kickoff distance and it then bounced from there out of play... not sure how it would've went without that. The two teams were quite well-matched for the bashing game, though I think yours is marginally better (or maybe "was" now you lost another guard dwarf.) Sorry about killing yet another player of yours. This nurgle team has a freakish record in killing people, 6 kills from 25 casualties, as compare to say the Khemri, 7 kills from 56 casualties.
The dice were about equal once everything was taken into account, which is how it felt really. The chance scores reported by BBM for this game were a good example of what is misleading about them, eg Rav had a good D6 score largely down to having passed 38/42 GFI's, but a lot of those were taken on players with sure feet, so really he was succeeding with a 35/36 action, not a 5/6 action as BBM reports.

Pacifist's prove they really are pacifists and get well and truly trounced by some sea rats

The POP had a shocker; as did Percy, who sulked for the last three turns and didn't even bother to issue any instructions.
Sometimes you question why you even bother trying eh?

Er I have since played a game, sorry. I'll try to get time to watch the replay though.

Well done La. Now the embarrassing farce can be remembered for all time.
Re: Mid-season 7 friendlies
Thanks!
Poor Skaven team, only 9 players... I'm sure that's why Percy willingly lost this one.
