Did he? So he did. The git. A 'Gerty Pox' on both your houses/teams.

It's an outrage! You're banned from the Cup!

SCHWEEET!!! A by into the 2nd round. Excellent work Commish, I knew you'd finally blossom into a fine leader of our fine game.

And he's STILL better than any player in this whole god forsaken, elf drenched, sub-standard excuse for a Blood Bowl league. (His words, not mine).

Game 1:
Everglade Wanderers vs The 13th Doomwheel - Big scores likely in this one. I'm going to call 4-3 to the Skaven but it could go either way so easily.

Game 2:
A Fistful of Boomstick vs The Brave Harts - Another tricky one to call. I think the Amazons have the edge because of the lack of tackle on the other side. 2-1 to the Brave Harts in extra time.

Elves 4 Skaven 2 - Elves don't prance & showboat as much and get on with it this time.

2-1 to Amazons in Overtime - Moose fails to dodge a mummy into 17 tackle zones and can't stop the winner in turn 56.

Big scores likely in this one.

Yup... unless Nuffle decides to completely screw with us again like he did in our league match (is Nuffle a "he"?) there should be at least 4 TD's by the end of regulation time. To be honest Abom's lineup doesn't scare me much, that team have nothing on the Wood Elves and their 101 skills, so I think a lot will depend on how the inducements pan out.
"Lots of TD's" is the easy prediction, the winner less so. Let's say the desire in the squad to go out on a high and be the first to win the double is high & that will bring them through 3-2.

2-1 to Amazons in Overtime - Moose fails to dodge a mummy into 17 tackle zones and can't stop the winner in turn 56.

I think there will be barely any tackle zones left at that point! Interesting point though about cup games, is that you can really play the attritional game in overtime as there is no time limit. I think especially of my Ogres beating RL3's elves, only scoring when there were no elves left standing, or the Vampires losing as they basically ran out of Thralls to nibble.

Anyhow, I agree with Rav, lack of Tackle to be an issue, but I will say 2-1 in normal time, not extra time. :)

The 13th Doomwheel's ball-sacker was killed at the end of the season unfortunately, so the team isn't very scary. His brother, the Big Hand ball-stealer has been rendered close to useless as a result of the lack of a dedicated sacker.

Thankfully, a wizard is taking the place of the ball-sacker, so I'm expecting an exciting match. :D

Oh yeah, I forget that AV7 teams usually have a lot of injuries/deaths. :D Your team have over 4 times as many deaths as mine in two thirds the games (!!!!) Even more remarkably, my Wood Elves have killed 3, one more than they have had lost themselves. I have 2 (arguably 3) players who can do ball sacking, which is good as this team is never going to have a wizard, barring a Fables! style disintegration.

And yes, one of the reasons why those blasted Wood Elves have grown into such a lovely team is how jammy you've been with injuries - Just the Orcs alone have killed/seriously injured a Wardancer in every match they've played and they've come back to life again.

Gerty also remembers battering the crap out of the rats in that first meeting... having no gutter runners left by the end of the game was lovely.

So the final is:

The Brave Harts vs The 13th Doomwheel - I'm going to go out on a limb and call this for the Amazons. I think they've got the squad to get up in the rats faces and stop them playing their game. Final score 2-1 to the Brave Harts.

I think 2-1 to the Skaven but may depend on how the rats use their inducements weighed up against how violent the wimmin get.

What a great sporting story! The last two runners-up face each other! Redemption for one, and the other will be always the bridesmaid never the bride...

2-1 Brave Harts due to lack of Tackle.

Yeah, Percy reckons the 'Zons win because the rats can't knock enough over to get them out the way.

I'll get the spreadsheet all sorted & give final results at some point this week. Sorry for falling behind. Then I can get a season 8 thread up and going, though if someone wants to start one to predict end-of-season rankings or just get some banter going then don't wait for me.
