So some last minute cramming of friendly when I really should have gone to bed I think resulted in a 4-1 win for the skaven over the goblins, which I remarkably managed to escape from with only a damaged loner and 2 (3?) BH others.

Abom's chainsaw rolled almost nothing but stuns - I think the injuries were done by normal goblins!

Low point of the first half was probably Abom's fireball missing 4 or 5 players completely. Luck turned a little in the second half when the gobbos had the numbers advantage.

Happy to break the run of losses!

Got a 3rd friendly with the Lizards, this time against Gandalf's Norse.

It took the Norse about 15-16 successful blocks before they managed to break armor, but by the end of the game they managed to badly hurt two Saurii. The Lizards managed to inflict a broken neck, a gouged eye and a pinched nerve.

Gandalf first few turns of successful blocks and failed armor rolls almost made him regret playing BB tonight, but one turn made the whole game worthwhile for the both of us. It was the last turn of the first half, with about 20 seconds remaining, no re-rolls left and a Norse lineman had the ball. Here's how it unfolded:

* The lineman holding the ball managed to dodge away from a skink (3+) (66%)
* Made an accurate long pass on a very sunny day to a runner, (6+) (11%) which the skink marking that runner failed to intercept (6+) (9%)
* The runner caught the ball with a skink marking him (4+) (4.6%).
* And failed to dodge away from the skink (3+) (3%) to score the open TD. (He basically had a 66% chance of finishing a 3% chance desperate TD move).

We were so shocked after the runner caught the ball that we both started cheering for him to dodge, and burst out laughing when he failed the last dodge roll.

Game finished 2-0 in favor of the Lizardmen.

No it was crazier than that Idanmel! I had to pick the ball up in a tackle zone first!!! (4+) Though you did forget my passer had pass.

That turn, finally causing some casualties, and no long-term injuries to important players made it a fun outing in the end. GG & see you all tomorrow for the real thing!

And next time la moans about his lack of players, remind him he has a gutter runner whose first three skill-ups were +MV, double, double. So he's had more doubles on 1 player than all my ogres have ever had...

Lets see if I got this right:

* Picking up the ball In a tackle zone (5+) (33%)
* Dodging away (3+) (22%)
* Long pass with pass skill on a very sunny day (6+ and another 6+ if the 1st one fails) (6.7%)
* Failed interception in a tackle zone (6+) (5.6%)
* Catching the ball with 1 tackle zone (4+) (2.8%)
* Dodge away (3+) (1.8%)

So by catching the ball we saw a move that should work once in about 35 attempts? :-)
